The material, the length but most of all the face on my daughter was great.

It fit nice but the skull Velcro came off and we fixed it but then it wouldn’t stick. But overall my daughter loved it and she loved the horned headband. It was hard plastic not soft horns that didn’t stay up.

My daughter wants to be the Disney cartoon Maleficent for Halloween, but we can't find the black and purple dress that she wears in any stores. This dress is the Angelina Jolie Maleficent from the more recent movie, so my daughter reluctantly chose this dress. It comes with a decent quality headband with rubbery horns attached to it, which my daughter actually decided she likes better than the closed hood with horns that the cartoon villan wears. The dress itself is very thin cheap Halloween costume material, and has a velcro skull to attach to it. But my daughter wasn't entirely happy with the look of this costume, since it is from a movie she has not seen and not from the cartoon movie that she loves.So I used my trusty low temp hot glue gun and carefully glued wide purple satin ribbon down the front, on each side of the collar, and along the arm holes. Sewing on this material did not work well for me, but I was able to reinforce the glued on ribbons by adding a few stitches on the seams. My daughter is beyond happy with the dress now, and can't wait to wear it for Halloween. I swear she cackled in delight when she tried it on for the first time.For 30 minutes work, my daughter is now the cartoon Maleficent. I doubt the dress will last past Halloween night, and not to mention I'm still pulling off dried glue strings, but I'm just writing this for anyone afraid to use a glue gun on this because it's such thin fabric - don't be. Just be careful, obviously, and you too can make your daughter's evil Halloween dream come true.Also, my daughter is 5 years old and wears a size 6x, and the size 8-10 fits her perfectly. So does the headband.

Pros: We added some purple tulle to the shoulders and made a long sparkly black tulle skirt to go over it. Received lots of compliments on daughter's Halloween costume!Cons: Daughter thought it was itchy. Like other buyers, I recommend buying at least one size up. It was fairly transparent, so whether you live in a cold or warm region, you should probably plan to have your child wear something underneath it. To reiterate, buy at least one size up.Would still buy again!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$This is the worst costume I have ever ever!! seen. My daughter wants to be maleficent for halloween so I looked and looked and found this which appears to be okay, I wasn't expecting anything to great but honestly something wearable!!! The material is the cheapest material you could find - the collar is so crappy it doesn't have any lift (it actually came all crunched up). I paid over $30.00!! and it isn't worst $5.00. I would give this a 0 star of I could.The company should be ashamed!!sent it back refund went well.

The fabric had so stretch to it and it runs small.

I have a tall slender-build child of 6 and a half who weights 47 pounds. I purchased the LARGE size (10-12) and it is slightly roomy for her on top, but it fits very well as a costume and looks great! The arms are purposely not sewn all the way around to the back of the bodice allowing your child great flexibility (without tearing the back of the sleeves off) while dressed in the costume. Clever!I will be able to have her wear a warm layer underneath while trick-or-treating, which pleases me. The "wings" are made of a thin flexible foam and stand up as in the photo advertisement.

I was very pleased with this purchase, it was sturdy and well made. There were no scratchy parts - a common downside in most costumes. My granddaughter loved it. I bought some wings to go with it which were perfect and the horns were well made and came attached to a hard plastic bandeau. I wished there was a black skullcap to cover the hair making it look more like the one in the movie but that is a minor point as I can easily fashion something using a bandana. Would not hesitate to recommend this costume.
