My daughter LOVED her costume. It doesn't look cheaply made and the material is actually quite nice. It's definitely not the fanciest costume but it's great for the price. It does run a bit small so I'm glad I sized up.

I bought it for a con and turned out great! I was a little worried about sizing because of the reviews, and according to the sizing chart I’d have to get a M for the top and L for the bottom. Decided to go with my gut and get my usual size, L. It fit great!One thing, the socks kept falling off, but I was able to fix it decently easily with double-sided tape. Hurt my legs, but it worked!I really felt like Mitsuri in this costume. Tiny flaws, but I still think it deserves a 5!

I purchased the Giyū Tomioka costume to cosplay with my daughter for the Denver Fan Expo.The sizing is accurate (6'1, 245lb male, 3XL size ordered) and just barely fits, but again, accurate. The quality of the tailoring is surprisingly better than any Rubies costume I've purchased. There are seams in all places they should be and even pleats in the front of the shirt-jacket for a fitted wear. Like the other pieces, the haori is better quality than anticipated and fits true to size.The items I received actually look better than the stock photos of the item. An example of this is the shiny "silver" buttons I received (including an extra if one falls off) as opposed to the matte plastic grey buttons shown on the picture.The belt was too small so I did have to punch a hole to give myself one "size" bigger there. That said, the belt is thin @ 1.25" and just feels too uncomfortable for me to wear for a 6+ hour day. I ended up buying a real belt that will fit and feel comfortable. Since it's going to hold a katana all day, the belt is important. I will also sew belt loops into the shirt-jacket to keep it in place.Overall: 4 stars!At the $55 price point, which is what you'll pay for Rubies these days, you'll get a quality set of items that are fit for Halloween or light cosplay with the kids. Most of the items fit true to the posted sizing chart.Why not 5?- The belt size is not true to size relative to the rest of the items given the size chart.- General discomfort/cheapness of the belt.- Resulted in needing to buy a real belt.- White ankle covers are very loose. Since they are stretchy, why not make them smaller so they're just a little bit tight?

I really love this costume, usually I try to piece my costumes together each year but this year I just bought this costume for ease of use. And I’m really surprised how well it turned out. The quality is pretty good for the price! I could see me using this for the next few halloweens or even a Comic-Con event.Out of the 6 leg wraps two of the buttons were defective so they don’t actually work but I can easily safety pin them together so they don’t fall off. Definitely very impressed by this costume.Something to note, the torso might be a little short but overall everything else fits really well!

Way better than I expected for the price.I sized up a size like I would do for most costumes. It worked great for me. The shirt would have been a touch snug otherwise, but wearable. Everything else might have been fine.This is what came in the clear plastic ziplock bag package:Shirt (black military-ish with long sleeves, white cuffs and a white japanese character on the back)Pants (Hakama style -black)Belt (white with a buckle)Tabi (socks with a seperation for the big toe-black)Kyahan (leg "wraps") yellow/orange with three white bows where the sides connect in frontIt is comfortable, good quality, and looks great.

Material quality is great! Soft and thick unlike other super thin, see through costumes, also material is not the stretchy kind. Buttons are kinda loose but nothing I can't fix. I'm 5'3 around 133lb so the belt was super long on me and didn't come with a sword holder so I had to order a new one. I'm usually a M on all my Clothes so that's what I got despite the size chart saying I should get a small, thank God I went with my gut and ordered a Medium.

I ordered a 2XL a size bigger than what I would normal get in anticipation that it would be too small. I’m 5”8 215ish and the pants were way way big but top was snug and if I got a 1 size smaller it would be too tight but pants would probably be perfect. So if you’re muscular don’t bother. The haori was made for a tall person but overall fabric was nice on the haori. The wraps for the ankle should have been just a single scrunchie sleeve instead of 3 separate pieces for each leg. They kept popping loose so I just put them away. Hope this helps someone.

Im a 5'4 female, and I bought the XX-large it fit very well! The shirt sleeves did go over my hands a little, but it was easy to work around and it was barely even a problem! 😊 overall im very impressed with the quality of the whole costume ❤

I bought this for my son's Halloween party with a group of friends. The item came on time. It looks just like the picture. The only thing I would have to say is I'm glad that resized up because it fit perfectly

Perfect! It looks exactly like in the picture and description. It’s made of good quality material and it doesn’t look cheap. Size appears to be as describe by seller. I would recommend this item 100 percent! :)
