Awesome product for emergencies!
These bags are lightweight and extremely functional. We gave them to our adult kids in their Christmas stockings. In an emergency situation this could be a lifesaver in the car. The kids really liked them and we will be purchasing some more to have on hand. Excellent quality.

Keep with emergency gear.
These will work fine for someone my size - female, average height. They would be a bit short for a 6-foot tall male. The quality is fine for emergency use. I keep them in the car and with camping gear.

They'll get the job done
The 'sleeping bags' are roughly equivalent to Hefty Ultra Strong garbage bags with a metallic lining and made large enough to fit an adult person into. That's an unflattering oversimplification, but it gives you a fair idea of what to expect. Nothing glamorous, just a potentially life-saving tool that can help shield you from the wind, keep you dry, and trap body heat, all in a mini sack that's the size of your fist and weighs 4.7 ounces. And, if you open/invert them, they can be used as reflective cover from the sun or for signaling search & rescue crews. As long as you know what to expect and are reasonably gentle with them, they'll fulfill their purpose when a real sleeping bag is unavailable.Note that these are not breathable (you may sweat), do not have contoured tops to cover your head (you may lose some heat), and do not have zippers or other 'amenities.' Expect to pay more for such 'premium' features in a bivvy. As far as the accessories go, they are definitely afterthoughts. Made of cheap plastic, the whistles and compasses both meet the minimum threshold and will work in a pinch, though you're better off planning ahead -- buy dedicated alternatives and give the included ones to your kids to play with.

As described. As Mylar usually will...keep you warm. EXCELLENT value for money. Quite lightweight and thin...making it an utmost survival bag.

Safety in cold weather if car gets stuck or power goes out
Safety minded. Easy to carry with you. Easy to leave in the car. Haven't needed to use but gives peace of mind

Basically…
Big garbage bags with reflective, silver coating inside with high vis exterior, but water proof. So can serve many uses. Would definitely want along on any hike, not just in winter.

They seem to be good quality in our base stored in our emergency kit
Have not used these yet, but it seem to be good quality. I am putting them in our buggy box for emergency.

Quick handy lifesaver if you know how to use
These are great for limited storage space and act as an improvised Bivy Bag which provides about 15 degrees of Fahrenheit rating. Essential that users know they cannot fall asleep fully clothed in the bag as it does not breath. If you do you, will wake up with all clothing soaked with moisture from your body and will lose most of clothing insulating capabilities.
