I have loved this product for years and this is a great deal and a convenient way to get it. I normally have to go to Asian specialty markets that are not convenient for me to get to. It is great to be able to order this product on Amazon and it arrived in good condition.I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys eel. It has a slightly different texture/taste compared to fresh eel you'd have on sushi, because it is canned, but not in a bad way, in my opinion. It still very much tastes like unagi with kabayaki sauce and has a great umami flavor. I don't mind the bones at all. They are not sharp and can be easily chewed up and eaten, along with the eel, so I just eat the whole thing, bones and all. Extra calcium.So, to sum it up, great price for 6 cans of eel, fast shipping, product is great, and seller is great.

Yes, the can is hard to open - the lid is slightly lower and we had to use an older can opener to get the lid open. And yes, there are bones. But, for a mail-order roast eel, it will do fine. I made some jasmine rice in a rice cooker and then made a small boat of aluminum foil to hold the eel and steam it while the rice is finishing. Although it is not silken smooth like frozen Unagi, it does have a good flavor with a slightly hot aftertaste. For the quarantine, it will do fine.

Terrible ! And i love eel! These little tins hold the most awful tasting eel ive ever tasted! The eel is dried out, lslightly spicy and sweet! eels were hard, and sweet, 2 things eels are Not.Dont buy them, i dont think i can send them back.

Didn't meat my expectations. It is on a sweet side. Didn't like it and would not recommend. Maybe if you like sweet sauce tryout.

It’s very tasty, no fishy smell at all. It’s the best tasty fish can I have ever eaten. The can has fish bones that are very soft and eatable, one can has 466mg calcium(40% DV) it’s a good source of calcium. I am eating this , not only for the tasty eel meat, but also mainly is to get calcium from the fish bones. I have osteoporosis, the tasty soft fish bones are good source of the calcium. Calcium from the food such as fish or dairy can be absorbed by the body. I have lactose intolerance so I don’t eat dairy products. I am eating this fish can for my calcium intake. I tried many different kinds of fish cans, they all have bad fishy smells. This old fisherman roasted eels taste so good and no bad fishy smell at all.

These are good ! I’ve never had eel other than on sushi. I am very pleased with the taste and quality.

I bought the canned roasted eel for my emergency food kit. Before adding it to my kit, I had to taste it. It was the best eel I've had in years, and it reminded me of when I was living in Japan. If you like roasted eel, I recommend you get this brand.
