Okay
A good book with the best friends brother them, but not a favourite.I liked Shawn and his interest in the stars and universe and his crush on Cass was cute. But I had a harder time connecting to Cass. The part of him being a drummer felt forced and didn't really add much to the story and his interest in Shawn came a bit quick.

I liked the way Shawn describes how he feel when looking at the stars
Shawn and Cass find that they are exactly where they are meant to be. I think this is one of the best viewpoints in this book, that two people after 10 years come together and as impossible as it seems fall in love. Enjoyed reading. The characters are memorable.

Love it!
The two main characters are lovable and relatable. I think their struggle with their respective futures is well-done for such a short story. The pacing was good, and it had a happy ending. Bravo author!

Sweet, low-no angst MM Romance
This was a sweet, low-to-now MM romance. R. Cayden is a new author for me and I really appreciated the solid, well-developed character stories and overall plot. The story is about Shawn, who graduated with his degree in astronomy and who wants to take the summer off to work on a book. His older brother had hired his best friend, Cass, to remodel the art studio behind the house where both of the men will be staying. Cass and Shawn develop a relationship over time, with glimpses to the past about how each person grew up and became the person they are today. I received this ARC in return for an honest review. I would recommend this book and will follow-up with the next in the series!

Science nerd + Childhood crush/drummer/carpenter = swoon
Uuuuuugh. I did NOT want this book to end. It’s hands down my favorite best friend's brother storyline to date. R. Cayden put together a winning combination of geek, hot drummer/carpenter, slightly forbidden, childhood crush turn adulthood crush, setting, and storyline. I flipping adored Shawn and Cass. A-DORED them. I’m a sucker for an awkward guy in glasses. It gets me every time.I think everyone needs to read this book. There’s nothing not to like. If you find something not to like, then....you need more hugs in your life. I fell into my typical procrastination habit at around 75%. If it’s a really good book, like this one is, I don’t want it to end. I then alternate reading and doing other things to prolong finishing it. Once I got to 87%, I knew I needed to find out how it ends. I wasn’t disappointed.I was happy to find out this is book one in a series! I can’t wait to read more! I know book 2 is going to be awesome.***I voluntarily accepted an ARC from Gay Romance Reviews. My review reflects my own thoughts and opinions***

Sweet read
This book is for those of us who had that unattainable childhood/high school crush. It’s a beautiful story that happened one beautiful summer in Kentucky when Shawn’s and Cass’ orbit met again and there started a journey, reconnecting with each other, getting to know more about each other, new self discoveries and being each other’s number one supporter.I enjoyed the astronomical details and information woven within the story. It’s such a big part of who Shawn is as much as music is a big part of who Cass is. Both world’s didn’t blend but they seemlessly coexist just right. The slow burn process of Shawn and Cass falling in love was beautiful to read. It’s low angst, almost none, really. It’s a summer romance that we all wanted. Perfect read for crazy times like we are experiencing these days. This book, albeit some typos that can easily be overlooked, left a feel-good smile on my face.

Sweet read!
All Shawn wants to do after he arrives at his family's house in Kentucky is to relax and write his book. Little does he know he'll be spending the summer with the only man he's been crushing on for a very long time. His brother's best friend Cass. If you're looking for a sweet read, this one should to it especially if you also love brother's best friend and first-time experiences tropes. I also got a great slow-burn feel to this story too, but it wasn't drawn out as some stories tend to be. It really enjoyed Shawn and Cass's journey as they got to know each other. All their first times together. This is a very sweet read with no angst. If this is something you are looking for in a book, then I highly recommend giving this one a try. R. Cayden is a new author to me and I will definitely be keeping an eye on what this author brings us next.

sweethearts, with serious chemistry!
When Shawn's older brother, Leo informs him that his best friend, Cass, will be staying at their grandma's cottage for the summer, Leo's reaction isn't exactly um positive. Let's just say that he'd had the hugest crush on Cass and leave it at that. Having to spend a whole summer in close proximity to him, yeah...he's not sure he can handle that. But as it turns out, Cass is just as sweet as he was before, and they end up getting to know each other in a really sweet way that actually turns into much more. Cass is very open to exploring his identity, and Shawn's more than happy to help him explore. But what about when Cass has to leave? Will their feelings be enough to keep Cass to stay?Oh God I adored Cass and Shawn. Talk about both sweethearts, with serious chemistry! This is a very low angst, sweet story and the way they go from friends to more just feels right and natural.I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy.

Enjoyable read.
This is a sweet story about Shawn & Cass. It's brothers best friend, gay for you & geek / hot guy tropes all in one book. Great light read.
