Fantastic product, great water, and took me a total of 10 minutes to install as a final stage to an existing under-sink drinking water filter. I have ionic breeze air cleaners, I have sometimes gone 2 weeks between cleaning, they are pretty dirty by that point, this season I've done cleaning every 3 days, and it's a very light cleaning that's needed. Then I added some ultrasonic cool-mist humidifiers to the mix. The water>humidity>household air was so filled with white dust from mineral sediment from the filtered tap water that i had to do a heavy cleaning of my air cleaners twice a day. I added this filter and the white dust is drastically reduced and I can go back to normal clean mode. The main system has 5 micron filters and the kitchen has an under-sink 10"x2" cartridge filter, I've used several different cartridges over the years with varying levels of water quality, NEVER was the water as tasteless as when I added this filter. I cannot say this is a good stand alone filter, I don't know and I'm not going to try, but it is a VITAL last stage filter, especially if you use humidifiers in your household.UPDATE: After 4 days of use, completely exhausted, starts off at green color, when used up supposed to be red to brown, after 4 days I checked mine when water was not tasting so fresh and humidifiers were smelling kinda stank, mine had gone right to black, and beginning to go clear. This filter is great for the right setup, that setup would be in my estimation a final stage to RO (reverse osmosis) filter system only, any other filter setup does not remove enough minerals beforehand to make this financially reasonable.

This is an excellent alternative to removing dissolved minerals from water for potable consumption. I installed the cartridge on the water inlet of our refrigerator and it is now making crystal clear ice. When the resin gets used up just replace it with a bulk resin available on line. This is very economical and works perfectly.The seller provided excellent support. The first cartridge got lost in the mail. The seller sent a replacement unit immediately at no additional cost.

I use this filter with a 3 stage purewaterclub ro/di the di burend out pretty fast and I used this as a replacement my TDs is in between 4/8 coming out of my ro I have made 100 gallons of di water so far and only noticed a tiny patch starting to turn color judging by this I should be able to get quite a bit more I will be buying more of these or at least the media to refill am very satisfied. also on one last note TDs from tap is in the 380 range pre ro 200tds ro drops it to 4/8 tds from the di 0tds filled a 32 gallon container just last night and 0 TDs

When I initially ordered this, I didn't pay attention to the shipping options and realized too late that it wasn't a Prime option. I was disappointed when the shipping email gave a 10 day shipment and I needed it sooner. I know this was my fault entirely, but still a disappointment, at first.My disappointment quickly turned to joy when it still made the trip in two days (from California to Michigan) and gave me time to install it in my RO system before I ran out of usable filtered water for my seahorse aquarium. My old DI cartridge was giving a TDS reading of about 20 PPM. I installed this new one, flushed it for a couple of hours and retested as a zero. You really can't get better than that.The housing is very clear and you can easily monitor the resin color as it becomes exhausted. The best part is this cartridge is refillable and will cost about a third of the cost to buy replacements from the OEM for my system.This is my first experience with this manufacturer so I don't know what to expect as far as longevity of the resin, but given the price, I can buy a lot of resin and still be well ahead, financially. I expect a reasonable life from this, and if it doesn't live up to my expectation, I will revise this review.

So far so good! I've been on over 200 gallons and still got great clean water.

Brought TDS to 0, but only for 100 gallons or so. Going to try some different resin in it.

I am a little skeptical of this product. It worked great for my reef tank, it brought my TDS to 0. However, I only got 30 gallons of water at 0 TDS. The di filter is already exhausted, it has turned completely orange and now reading .02 .03 TDS after only 30 gallons of water. I guess I was expecting it to last a little bit longer than just a month. I did my homework and read a lot of reviews before buying this product and have seen reviews stating they get well over 50 gallons before need to replace a filter. Maybe my water is bad, but it reads at .046 TDS out of the tap. I may have also gotten a bad di filter I am not sure.At $23 for a new di replacement filter it might be cheaper for me to just buy pure water at LFS.

Tap Water 198 ppm, RO water 10 ppm and DI 0 ppms in TDS and EC. I still Dont know how much water I will get at that purity but I can refill the canister with new DI resin then. Product came well packaged, with two 1/4 Fittings threads and 2 brackets
