The Spears P110 series DWV flush cleanout plug is made of PVC, has a male NPT connecting end, and is suitable for waste water systems in residential applications. This fitting is made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) for corrosion resistance, high strength, and less weight than fittings made from metal. PVC can be connected to other materials such as steel, copper, or cast iron using transition fittings. This cleanout plug fitting fits flush into a cleanout adapter to close the adapter and allow access to the system and has an operating temperature range of 73 to 140 degrees F (23 to 60 C). The male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threaded end connects to female NPT threaded pipes for a tighter seal than straight threads. This drain, waste, vent (DWV) plug fitting complies with American Society for Testing and Materials International (ASTM) D2665 and ASTM D3311 for quality assurance, is National Sanitation Foundation International (NSF)/American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Standard 14 certified to the Uniform Plumbing Code (NSF – U.P. Code) and NSF-dwv for quality assurance, and conforms with lead content requirements for "lead free" plumbing as defined by California and Vermont. It is suitable for waste water systems in residential applications.Pipe fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. When purchasing pipe fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size, and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness). Spears Manufacturing produces thermoplastic fittings and valves for fluid, drain, waste, and vent systems. The company, founded in 1969 and headquartered in Sylmar, CA, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001.

Worked great!
I bought a 3" recessed plug at Lowe's (manufactured by Charlotte) and it didn't "sit" into the fitting all the way, like it was only half screwing in and then got super tight. I even noticed a dip of water leaking out when I test-flushed the toilet. So I tried this one from Amazon...worked like a charm! Sunk all the way into the clean out fitting nicely. Not leaks! I used the handle of a pair of pliers to tighten to snug it up. Then I covered it with a plastic 5" door knobs wall protector and painted it to match.I'm taking the Lowe's one back. And by the way, yes it's truly a 3.25", but marked 3". So just know that 3" must be the plumbing standard, I guess.

Missing product view
The top view was not included in the listing. Based on the under side I was hoping for a recessed nut to be able to interface with a cover plate for a cleanout behind drywall.
