Works well
These heat up quickly and to a high temperature. The coin is a little hard to snap at first but once you do it a couple times it’s easier. Ignore the other reviews saying they don’t melt all the way- that’s because they aren’t boiling them correctly. You have to put the pack in boiling water until melted and CONTINUE BOILING for 5-10 minutes after that! Otherwise it will solidify again when it cools down. The larger sizes might need longer. Just put a rag in the bottom of your pot to prevent burning and it’ll be fine.

Short lived heat
I've bought similar products to these in the past. These seem to be similar in most ways which is great but they are thinner. That means the heat doesn't stick around as long as I would like. I guess considering the price, I should have expected as much.

Great value and reusable
These were perfect for our needs in the school nurse's office.

Melted and failed in pot of boiling water
Went to reset these by use of metal pot with boiling water and while the electric burner was shut off, the plastic must have been placed into boiling water way too hot for it and the packet burst and melted to bottom of the pot releasing the chemical contents inside. They worked great when needing a heat pack, but not impressed with adding to boiling water with burner off and them popping and destroying the pot that they were in by melting to the bottom and contaminating the pot.

Lasts about 2 years with normal use
This product comes with a 5 year warranty but after spending the money to ship the item back and pay their $4.95 fee it makes more sense to purchase the product again. They only last about 2 years of regular use before you can no longer get them to reset after boiling and they get extremely hard. Only purchase if the price is good knowing you will need to replace fairly often. That being said we enjoy the product but wish they lasted longer.

These are great
My mom bought a set of these years ago at a Fred Meyers. Was super excited to find them on Amazon since I live over over an hour away from that store, and I've never found these at my local walmart.Plus for the price I got them on here, can't be beat.Sometimes the little coin gets warn and doesn't 'snap' but just takes a couple times to wiggle it around to get it to activate for use. And love how just drop into boiling water, it is ready for another round.
