How Do Planes Fly? How Airplanes Work - Children's Aviation Books

This book was NOT what I expected. It does explain about thrust, drag, weight, and lift in a very simplified manner, but it would have been way better for the author to have diagrams or pictures explaining these concepts. Instead, there are just pictures of jumbo & executive jets in flight. I was expecting to learn about the different parts of an airplane & how they make an airplane fly as well, but no such thing is included.Like I said, diagrams of air flow and the functions of an airplane to aid in lift or thrust would have been better at explaining the concept of how an airplane flies. Unless you want a useless narration of the concept of flight and a bunch of pictures of jets, I do NOT recommend this book for children or adults.I'm returning my book for a refund.

Book is just like a pamphlet. Total waste of money.

This little book reads as if it had been machine-translated from another language. The text is very poor English, and the explanation, already badly structured, is very unclear. This subject needs a couple of actual diagrams, not just a succession of stylized pictures of flying aeroplanes (sold in the UK, the book nonetheless refers to airplanes).I bought this for a grandchild. I found it so poor that I threw it away.

I have bought this book, thinking it was an advanced book about how planes work. When I got it, it turned out to be a book for 2-5 year old children. If you want a advanced book about planes, I strongly discourage you to buy this book.
