One of the best reading comprehension books I have purchased.
This book, as well as Vocabulary Ninja by the same author, are well worth buying. I bought it as I teach Year 3, but this could be used with children who are older and lacking the basic reading comprehension skills. It could be used with the whole class, groups or for an individual who needs to practise key reading skills. If I ever moved year group, I would definitely buy the book linked to that year.It contains 24 different texts linked to a range of interesting topics (range of non- fiction). Each text has many questions linked to it and these questions cover a range of reading comprehension skills (e.g. find and copy and sequencing). The reading skills are explained clearly at the start of the book and are clearly labelled throughout. As you can probably tell, I am very impressed with it and am pleased I bought it! Well worth the money. I have already recommended to other colleagues. One of the best reading comprehension books I have come across. :)

Improved my children's comprehension skills
I bought this to save me some time leaving cover for the children in my class. It is really well pitched for year 4. The text size is good and you can choose which style of question you would like to focus on. The final texts have more varied questions based on the skills you have done previously. I found the questions align really well with the NFER comprehension texts and so the KS2 SATs type questions.

Easy to use, fun and knowledgeable
Brilliant book. The words in actual content are printed big enough for young kids to read. The serials questions list after reading are absolutely targeted to test readers comprehension skills from all different perspectives. Introduction of how to use the book is very clear and instructive. We use it for extra exercises at home. Personally, it is more fun and knowledgeable in comparison to other exercises books in the market.

Helpful to assess comprehension
This will be very useful to give the children in my class practise of answering different styles of questions. To get five stars, I would like to have seen some tests that covered a range of question styles in one.

Brilliant school resource!!
I bought this for my Year 3 class, after successfully introducing Vocabulary Ninja, daily, across our school. I was not disappointed when I saw the same, logical, easy to use approach to comprehension! I have planned to start this week and feel sure my children will love it!! What is next Mr Jennings??

I am not a teacher , I am teaching parent in this hard days and I can say this book is very good . My son loves working with it. He said he missing fiction stories is well as there is only non-fiction but the stories are very interesting too so he coverssome of history and geography topic is well with that book. I am happy about the purchase as my son loves to work with it and looking forward to open and do it.

Fab high quality non-fiction texts.
Literally amazing! It’s so difficult to find high quality non-fiction texts that are clear and interesting for the children to read. This is a well thought out book full of brilliant texts and filled with great ‘how to’s’. I am loving how easy it it to use.
