The perfect solution to my will-making needs!
Mine was a very simple will--no kids, no complicated investments. Still it was going to cost me $300+ through a lawyer. This software let me make my will the way I wanted it, plus it walked me through things I hadn't even considered. And the additional paperwork was amazing--Patient Directives, Medical Power of Attorney, personal letters to beneficiaries (for wishes or thoughts not appropriate to include in a legal document), directions to my executor...and more. It even prompted me to make a list of all my contact information so my executor could notify people I know via Internet, where to find my passwords, and even covered giving my executor legal permission to access and modify my "digital property", such as Facebook and online bill-pay services. The paperwork even covered needs I would have if I became incapacitated, not just if I died. It allowed setup of guardians for children and many other things. It also had links to legal information which was tailored to my State laws. Excellent product! And very easy to use.

Good luck trying to get this notarized!
Do NOT waste your money. Not because the product isn't good. It is easy to use but the Will you put together cannot be notarized. We could not find a bank, notary, paralegal, attorney or anyone to notarize our Wills! Evidently this is something fairly new. If you call a notary, confirm ahead of time that they are notarizing a Will. Our own bank would not notarize it! We were in the middle of a Refi and the notary who came to our house wouldn't notarize our Wills! Why you may ask? We were told that if someone in the Will contests it, the notary and witnesses must show up in Court and that is something none would do. An attorney will do it, but only if they draft the Will themselves and then they can legally charge you hourly for any Court time. What a big, fat waste of money.

Good unique legal product -- with a few reservations
I've had versions 2005 and 2011 of this product. It is a good product and fairly unique. That said, I've been unsatisfied by the removal of the Trust document (somewhere between 2006 and 2011), though I see that a simpler, subscription time limited (i.e., one year from purchase) version is online.I was perfectly happy with the 2011 version, but I bought this (2016) for the inclusion the Community Property Agreements (Washington State). It is included, though as an all or nothing print-out within the will. In other words, as near as I can figure, if we have five pieces of property and wish four to be covered by a Community Property Agreement and one addressed in another device (e.g., Will, Trust), it can't be done -- only all five. I'm not quite satisfied with this. The likely explanation is that such a split is a complex structure -- hire a lawyer. Good advice, but...give me what a need with a warning. If you are looking at this as a potential purchase for a will, buy it. It is a good product that includes some other common legal documents. However, be aware that features appear and disappear between versions; and some advertised features may not meet your expectations.

You Need A Lawyer
Probably "will" do the job, but you just can't be sure. Too many little things, state to state, judicial circuit to circuit, county to county, plus it changes over time. While your once "OK" will should be grandfathered in for changes in the law, you just can't be sure. So if you have anything to leave worth more than say 100K. Get yourself a local lawyer and pay a couple thousand to have a real will along with a power of attorney etc. Also they will answer your questions and they will tell you if in the future there are any major changes to laws that may be of concern in your situation. It does occasionally happen. I bought this product but after checking around I realized it would be saving a comparatively small amount of money by risking a great deal. My advice, don't do it this way, get a lawyer and just pay the money, maybe not what you wanted to hear but its the truth. (No I am not a lawyer and I don't have lawyer friends or family.)

OK, but...
OK, but could provide information on Living Trusts, which makes much more sense in today's world. The program does provide 1 year access to a "online" Living Trust maker, but I prefer keeping my sensitive and private information on my own computer, not out on the web where it is at the mercy of being protected by a company rather than by myself.

Easy-to-use software for drafting a basic, valid will (among other things)
The wife and I wanted to make sure we had valid wills, and we also wanted our desired medical and final arrangements documented. I'm an attorney but I'm a prosecutor and don't know much about estate planning and probate, but didn't want to pay an attorney to draft a basic will. This software made it really easy in that you basically fill in the blanks and it will complete the necessary documents for whatever state you reside in. In this respect, it acts like a tax software program where you answer a series of questions and it fills in the blanks and produces the necessary documents. We didn't do anything really complex, so I can't comment on any of the advanced functions, but it was perfect for what we used it for (basic wills, health care directives, etc.).

I DON'T LIKE IT.
I DON'T LIKE IT...VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! I want to be able to print blank pages and then fill them...before I fill them in online. But, I can't print any pages unless I fill them in. I can't see all the information/categories on each page. I like to see everything all at once. And, I like to fill in the information in my own order...after reviewing it....not in the order WillMaker requests.I CAN'T USE THIS PRODUCT. IT WAS A WASTE OF MY MONEY!!!

Good product. Fair price.
Overall it went well. Good explanations. It went a little quirky whenever my wife did hers and I had to go back and change my answers to what they were. Most of our answers were the same, but not all... Extra forms that used the existing contacts was nice. I think it was a good buy, and worked for our needs.
