Excellent build. Small size fits in a backpack.
Just what I was looking for in a travel tripod.Very good construction. Sturdy yet small. Fits in a back pack, and even in my front pouch when traveling.Comes with hidden spikes for soft ground. These may be a problem for TSA. Don't know yet as I haven't traveled. Have to research that. All in all, highly recommended.

Compact and lightweight
This little guy worked great for a backpacking trip across Isle Royale National Park. Unfortunately, I only got it out a few times on the trip but when I needed it I got the money shots I was after.Simple to use. Leave the mounting plate on my camera so I’m always ready to go.

Don't let the size fool you!
This things may be small but it is a beast! I'm using a pretty sizable manfrotto ball head with a canon xa11 . Needless to say it's holding it perfectly. I love the quickness of extending and retracting the legs and This technology. Well done and well made!! Adjusting is so easy when needing to do it quickly.

Great little tripod!
I'm really impressed with the build quality and functionality of this little tripod. It's perfect for my use as a tabletop tripod with my camera/lens setup - about 3.1 pounds. I don't know how stable it would be if the legs were completely extended and a heavier setup was used. It's not cheap, but I think it's a decent value for the quality.

the fine print
i really did want to like this tripod. carbon fiber makes it extremely light considering it claims it will hold 11 pounds. my nikon d750 equipped with a nikkor 80-200 weigh nearly 5 pounds. what they don't state here is the legs have 3 preset angles. the two lowest hold 5 pounds stably, but the highest will cause the camera to tip. the 3-piece extension is only recommended for smartphones and p&s cameras. so, unfortunately, this is going back because it is extremely limited for my intentions. it's a great buy for smartphones and p&s cameras. i'm not sure how you would use anything that weighs 11 pounds on this.

great ultralight hunting tripod
Bought this to use for hunting binos and scopes. Very light and seems to be sturdy. I do find that adding some downward weight helps stabilize it, otherwise between the rubber feet and somewhat flexible legs, can be prone to vibration.Combined with the SmallRig tilt/pan head, you have an ultralight, smooth backcountry rig for about $150 and 1.5 pounds. Tie a small prussik cord loop on one of the legs and you have a 10 gram, $0.10 adjustable rifle support. Add a therm-a-rest z seat pad, and use your backpack as a backrest, and you can sit and glass all day.
