I highly recommend if you are going to use this on a ...
This small bottle goes a long way. Another way to look at it is that small splashes stain a long way. Work with latex or nitrile gloves and wear the appropriate clothing. When you first get the botlle(s), the solids of color are settled in the suspending liquid. This color needs to be shaken and shaken and shaken, approximately 30 seconds to suspend the solids into the liquid. At the use concentration Quikrete gives you---1 bottle to two 60-pound or 80-pound bags of grey cement, the color is a light brick red. I mixed this colorant 50 : 50 with Quikrete TerraCotta colorant to match an Italian TerraCotta-colored tile. The match to the Italian TerraCotta was close enough for both my wife and I. I highly recommend if you are going to use this on a large project, place and blend all your shaken colorant in a large container. Mix well. Store. Mix again before using. Now your color will not vary between bottles (because you have a homogeneous color) and your finished product will be uniform for the entire project.

A little goes a long way….
I used one capful diluted in the appropriate amount of water to make 18 molded brick veneers. I would say about 10 cups of quick setting Pre mixed dry bagged concrete from local hardware store. When wet I thought at first it looked as if they would be a bit rust colored. However, when fully dried the result was almost a pinkish terracotta. Not orange at all… I was pleasantly surprised, even-though it didn't result in what I needed but that is ok because it gave a base color that I will be modifying with stains. I would like to see what doubling would result in …. I used the last of my concrete on this batch… I imagine that it would be darker and richer … I bought more concrete and will update if i can.

Nice colorant, but it settles and sticks to the bottom of the bottle.
I used this to put a new cap on an existing patio that was cracking. Mixed with Quikrete Sand Topping mix. It colors the concrete nicely but I was a bit frustrated trying to get all the product out of the bottle. In the end it doesn't seem to matter. Even though I mixed about 8-10 separate batches for the job, the color of the whole patio looks uniform.

Quikrete Concrete Pigment Quality
I was amazed at how fast I got this order filled through Ace Hardware.I've found Quikcrete concrete pigment to be consistent in every bottle. There are a few things I learned about making concrete using pigment, the most important that you must keep your clean water measuring tool away from the pigment and that you must add the pigment to the water before you add it to the concrete. And don't rush with mixing it thinking that the concrete will be dry before you get a chance to use it. It doesn't happen instantaneously. If you are prepared with all you need you will enjoy the work and have a great result.

Stepping Stones
Made about 7 stepping stones that have a crab embossed on them. Thought it would add to the stone by making them red(crab) but they turned out more terra cotta color. even tried different amounts of mix. Still nice though. One good thing is that this stuff does not stain your hands when working with the colored cement.

Was purchased and shipped to me from Lowe's
If there is a Lowe's nearby just go there. I gave it a 5 star as it is the correct item and such but had I known they were shipping it to me from a Lowe's which I could have gone to Lowe's where I live and just bought it and will in the future.

Good stuff
Although it takes a little while to figure out how much you should use but the end results were good

Bright red
Mixed some of this into a batch of concrete and got some BRIGHT results. Have used the black before and it came out a dull black/light gray. There is no mistaking that you have added red to your mix when using this product.
