This sharpening stone has issues
Unlike other users, I found this sharpening stone not acceptable.1) Whatever the compound in the stone, it made magnetic chips when sharpening. In case it's the knife, I tried three knives, Zwilling Santoku, Messermeister chef knife and a Yaxell Mon chef knife and they all have the same thing. During the sharpening process, 1000 grit, started to create bumps and I had to stop.2) The polishing side, 6000 grit, did not create the magnetic chips but it has bumps, even more bumps than the 1000 grit.3) After short time of sharpening, basically trying out the stone, I rinsed it and examine the surface and found pits on both sides of sharpening surface.4) A paper cut test, I found uneven edge and will catch the paper.5) In order to make sure I did it correctly, I sharpen the above knives on Cerax 1000 and finish them on Choseara 3000. None of the symptoms of this stone exists.6) This morning, I gave it a second try and I used a flattening stone to take out the small pits first (some pits are too big and deep to be flatten out. The same thing magnetic chips and more pits and bumps during sharpening. My conclusion is this stone is not suitable for sharpening. Fortunately, I don't have expensive knives.I would not recommend this stone.

This is for a gift but I am very happy with the quality, and the presentation, boxing.
