HQRP 110V LED Light Bulb Cool White Compatible with Singer 201, 221, 221K, 222, 247, 301, 301A, 301K, 328K, 337, 347, 401, 401A, 403, 404 Sewing Machine

Bought this to use on my old Singer. It is much better light than what I had before.

I own a 40 year old Craftsman radial arm saw. It came originally with a small worklight to illuminate the cutting area of the blade. It was a small bulb that offered little light and burned out frequently from the vibration (light attached to the blade guard assembly.). I had taken the light and kickback assembly off years ago since I don't use this saw for rips. The old dim bulbs were of little value. These newer LED bulbs are less susceptible to vibration and very much brighter. The base was a perfect match for the saw light receptacle. Thanks

Installation was a bit tricky but I got it to work. The lip of casing of the light was preventing it to full seat into socket and unable to latch it into place. I took a needle nose pliers to gently squeezed the lip down. Otherwise it went in fine. Plenty bright.

This bulb is fantastic, but I had to add a little bit of solder to the contacts on the bottom in order to get my bulb to seat properly. Not hard to do with a soldering iron, but keep in mind this bulb may not be an out of the box fit.

This light was a replacement on my Featherweight sewing machine. Much brighter than the old one.

This was a good bulb for a while, super bright. After about a year, I plugged my sewing machine in one day and started smelling burnt plastic. It stunk the whole house up for days. I couldn’t even remove the bulb, it was so hot.

While I expected a much brighter light than the original incandescent, I only saw a much whiter light with a pattern that spread much better over the work surface. The area at the foot and needle seemed a bit shaded as compared with the incandescent. That's the only reason I didn't rate this 5 stars. This is my mother's sewing machine, and if she tells me the LED is much better than the old incandescent, I'll rate it 5 stars.

Makes sewing on my machine a pleasure again.
