Pros and (gassy) Cons
We found this food while seeking a dog food that would suit the needs of both of our dogs. We were looking for something that both had meat as a primary ingredient and avoided particular food allergies that each of them had.Everything started out great, both dogs loved the food and ate it happily, but we didn't know the trouble that was already brewing (literally). Under the COVID-19 pandemic it has become common place to wear face masks out in public. Thanks to this food our family has become accustomed to wearing masks for protection inside our house as well.It started one evening a few days after we started switching over to this food. Our larger dog (a border collie-husky mix) jumped up on our couch next to us. As he jumped up there was a sudden rush of wind, but it didn't come from outside. My wife and I looked at each other like, "What was that? Did that come from him?" He innocently looked around the room, seeming as surprised by the sound as we were and looking for its source. I think the whole situation embarrassed him and he was trying to avoid detection. Then it hit. The smell was revolting, causing instant nausea and making our eyes water. Much worse than the stink bombs I used to make back in high school, and those would clear an entire classroom (ok, so maybe the students would jump at any excuse to leave the room... but still). My wife left the room to make our dog go outside while I rushed to open the windows. The weirdest part was that it smelled somewhat like rotten seafood, like a trash bag full of fish bones and lobster shells left out in the sun and ransacked by raccoons. It smells like rotten sea food, but there are no seafood products in this food.Since that first, terrible night we have settled into a new, if uncomfortable, normal. We keep our face masks at the ready around our necks at all times. Warning shouts of, "Dog Fart!" have become common curtesy from whomever first detects the impending danger.Unfortunately for our dog, he cannot escape himself and is likely in some serious discomfort ahead of time whenever he releases his problems upon us. He also gets the worst of it. Being part husky he often sleeps curled up with his nose right in the danger zone. On some evenings, after our kids are in bed and we are sitting watching TV with our dog curled up on the floor, he suddenly jumps up and runs away. This is our warning to put our masks on and leave the room as well. This problem has also led our dog to some very bad manners. Wanting to avoid the danger himself, and knowing that disaster is approaching, he has gotten into the habit of entering a room, releasing his discomfort next to an unsuspecting person there, and immediately leaving the room. This has led to our family being fearful, rather than happy, when our dog approaches us.Though it has altered our lives in some undesirable ways, we will see this bag of food through rather than wasting it or wishing it upon another person. And we definitely won't donate it to a shelter, those poor dogs would be stuck there forever! We look forward to a time when fresh air will be more common again, free from contaminating pollutants, inside our home as well as out. In the meantime, please pray for us.If you purchase this (or any) food for your dog, start with a small bag and see how their digestion system handles it.

Smells great and is perfect for skin sensitivities. Very healthy!
I’ve even researching the best dry dog food for my 4 poodles. I’ve tried them all. My dogs are very sensitive to allergies and ear infections. I didn’t want peas, potatoes or corn because they cause the yeast to multiply quickly creating hot spots and ear infections. This food bag looks like a piece of art and it smells like yummy oatmeal. Us humans are all vegetarians and I want a food that is fish based for my dogs. Thankfully, I can’t smell the fish! I can’t say that about any other fish based dog food I’ve tried. Hoping my dogs will love this food for years to come. Although Inception needs to add probiotics to make this dog food optimal nutrition for my dogs. I must supplement.

Picky allergic GSDs like
My two GSDs are super picky and have horrible allergies! They actually love this food enough to eat straight from my hand which they haven’t done with any other food. This is the only food my dogs aren’t allergic to and I have tried so many brands I have lost count. One of my GSD is so allergic to proteins, grains, legumes, potatoes, etc he’ll breakout on his feet and face horribly with most dog food but not this pork dog food THANKFULLY!!!! His feet and face have healed beautifully on this food! The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it does give them some gas but my vet said that’s ok as long as their stools are normal, which it is. Probably a little rich. I can’t find any other food they can tolerate so I hope they never stop making this food! I was making homemade food before but with the pandemic and food shortages I had to stop and the multivitamin I was using was discontinued, the only one my GSDs weren’t allergic to. So this is my only option right now. Luckily it’s reasonably priced! Hope this review helps someone suffering with a dog with food allergies.Update: If you add a probiotic/enzyme to this food it helps with the gas!

A great food for dogs with food allergies
An exceptional food for dogs that are allergy prone. No potatoes, no rice, no beet pulp which is a horrible filler imo, added to alot of the "designer" foods. It also has taurine, a life needed ingred for dogs hearts and good health.

LOVE IT!!
I feel like I’m on a never ending journey to find the right dog food for my dogs... we have 3 dogs, each different weighs and body structures and I wanted to find something healthy that would be good for all of them.I LOVE that the first ingredient is meat and that makes up most of the food. There’s no fillers or artificial flavors or anything which is HUGE for me and the price is great!!We were spending around $50 a month on the regular Purina dog chow (two 52lb bags a month)(we have a Irish wolfhound, lab and pitbull) I had been looking for a healthier food for a while but just couldn’t find something that I liked that didn’t break the bank...Now we spend around $40 a month on the 27 lb bag and we only need one a month... that’s WAY less dog food and cheaper!!!!Not to mention our dogs LOVE this dog food!! I wish I had known about this earlier! It’s so much better for the dogs! I’m very impressed and will continue to buy. Also, our pitbull is a puppy so it saves us time with not having to separate their food as this is for “all life stages” so we don’t need a separate bag of puppy food and to feed her separately.
