Dried Whole Shi-itake Mushroms - 16 oz. (1 lb.) Life Gourmet Shop

I live in an area where unless I want to travel 80 miles, I would never find shiitake mushrooms or any other gourmet mushrooms. These are a good option. Really big mushrooms with little waste make these a good value. I covered with boiling water for about 15 minutes. I think I could have soaked them longer b/c they are so big and thick. Then I strained the liquid to get the grit out and replaced some of the water for this liquid. The rice was very tasty. I would recommend these if you can’t get fresh!

I don't really like those it takes so long to soften these, maybe after I figure out just what to use them for I feel differend

Product was exactly as pictured. It met expectations in taste and texture and arrived intact with no damage and on time.

Personally I love these mushrooms,but my husband does not like them at all,he doesn't like the texture,the taste or anything about them,so as you see I'm the adventurer,of the family.

My previous two orders were fine but the last package I purchased was not good. Not long after putting the dried mushrooms in the water tosoak they started getting a layer of mushy slime on the caps. I have never had this happen with dried Shitakes, ever. I could not use them andhad to throw them away. So, I will be want to take another chance on dried Shitakes from Life Gourmet Shop, LLC.If anyone else has had this problem, please write a review describing your experience.

This is my 3rd purchase from this seller & the shitakes are always large & perfect.They are excellent in stews & other dishes & are a staple in my kitchen.I am sick of the puny little scraps sold in the grocery store at at ridiculous price & delighted to find these affordable robust specimens.

Not quite as good as what I've purchased in the past at NYC's China Town.

Great Whole Shrooms In A Bag , I cut These up Into Ten Or So Pieces Into A Crok Pot With The Dried Beans and Viola Food Fit For A King!!!
