REB New Testament, Green Imitation Leather, RE212N (Cambridge Bibles)

Of the dozens of New Testament translations, the REB is my favorite for its eloquent and easy to understand wording. Though it is an "English" translation, its language would pose no difficulty to any American, rather just the opposite. Describing an event or quotation in a different way can indeed reveal whole new meanings. It’s text was approved by all the major Christian denominations in the U.K., whether conservative or liberal. No other Biblical translation can claim that. This small volume has single columns of print, rather than the double ones of full-size Bibles, making it just as easy to read. Finally, it's a lovely, compact volume, very portable to take anywhere, even in your pocket, but I reach for it at home.I am ordering two copies--just in case it goes out or print! It would make an attractive gift.

This New Testament in a modern language has a nice print surface, in a paragraph page style. It is easy to read, study and use without having to squint one's eyes. It is also easy to use for study with a concordance or other reference work. I love to take this with me when I have a Bible study group as it is easy to read from. I also like to take it with me to read in the times when I am waiting for an appointment or other activity.A very good and nice edition and the leather cover is really excellent.

I had never used this translation before. I think I’ll use it more often. This edition is smaller than I expected, but still readable to these aging eyes. The cover is a forest green imitation leather. Single column paragraph style.

This is a beautiful edition. Easy to read, fits neatly in my book bag. Only regret is that the publisher did not include the Book of Psalms in this commemorative publication.

Eloquent translation with easy to read font. Though not leather, the cover still feels like good quality.
