Snapped the teeth off the first time I used it.
I drill holes in metal for a living. This was rather expensive. “You get what you pay for.” Is what I think when it comes to tools. Waste of money. I have had cheaper ones similar to this last years.

Strong, and very sharp!
I used the 3/4 inch bit/saw to cut 6 holes into my car trailer frame to install new marker lights. The frame on my trailer is 3/8" thick steel. This cut through it like it was aluminum. It didn't dull or slow down through all 6 holes. I did use a bit of wd40 to help keep it lubed a bit as you should. I was very impressed it makes a very clean cut and left few to no metal burrs for me to remove.

A slow-speed drill press needed for metal .
Excellent quality; good instruction follow-up from McJ. Very precise holes. Plug eject spring and extra pilot bit are handy time-saving features. Cutting oil essential. Most small drill presses do not have a slow enough speed (230 rpm). Mine was 628 rpm. You can of course drill at higher speed; but, the bit will wear out much, much faster. Google "Intermediate Drill Speed Reduction" if you want to modify your existing drill press for extended metal drilling.

3/4 inch worked going thru 3/8 material
Great product. After reading negative reviews I decided to give the drill a try and I'm glad I did. I had 4 3/4" holes thru 3/8" plate. I used a punch then predrilled with a 1/4" Drill to create a small crater for the bit drill to follow. Drill worked perfectly in my drill press at a medium speed. I also used a liberal amount of tread cutting oil and didn't let the bit get hot. Not sure how this bit will work on a hand held drill, but I think slow speed and using oil is a must when drilling thicker material.

Seems well made
I tried this upon recommendation of a friend. Came nicely packed in a reusable plastic sleeve, and the build quality looks great at first glance. Good heavy feel. I like that the pilot bit can be replaced via hex screw. It cut through 3/16 aluminum plate without a hitch, but I admit that since it looks so pretty I will wait awhile before trying it on steel... I just enjoy keeping tools pristine for awhile. I did try it on plywood, and it made a great precise cut, although thickness is limited to 1/2 inch plywood max. It is likely I will buy an additional bit or two of different sizes, as the need arises.

Great tool
Tool worked great. I tried to used different tools to cut through metal but this one is the only one that worked.

Cuts a Nice Round Hole Fast! Recommended!
Great tool! Cuts a clean hole with ease. Very sharp; can get away from you and snap the pilot bit. I've broken (2) pilot bits almost immediately while using a portable drill. The pilot bits are extremely hard but brittle; they will not bend. I've made my own pilot bit from a standard drill bit. Overall, I'm very happy with the product but wish that the pilot bit was a bit softer. I don't see any issues with the pilot bit when the work is held in a vise on a drill press.

The best to prd work
I have work with PDR in Brazil for a long time and that tool helps me be the best

Works better than expected but has its limitations
The fact that I've managed to punch 6 holes through 1/2" steel is impressive. The drawback that I'm seeing is the limited depth of the bit (<1/2") which requires finishing the hole from the back side. The pilot bit is also sub-par, but if you pre-drill with a good bit, the hole saw will do it's job well.

Worked great
Worked great. Purchased 2 of these 9/16" and 22mm for one project. Drill 6 22mm holes and 12 9/16" holes in an 8" I beam. I pre-drilled the pilot holes took it easy, used lots of cutting fluid. Drilled using a hand held cordless drill.

Coupe bien et longtemps
Je m'en sers pour percer de l'acier 1/4 de po. Après de multiples usages en utilisant de l'huile de coupe, elle perce encore parfaitement. J'en suis très content.

Works as promised
Bought this to drill 4 holes in 1/4" steel, and worked like a charm. Kept very well lubricated when drilling and looks like still very sharp and will last.

Works great!
Bought it to drill a hole in my Jeep for installation of a CB radio. This thing is sharp and cut through the body like nothing! Recommend!
