Great cart but .......
Well made cart but do NOT use the sheet metal screws (cheap metal, poor sizing). I drilled mine and used 1/8" bolts & screws to assemble - worked great and will last forever.

99.9% Good
Nice stand, enables good use of space, ease of moving the welder around projects. A few screws were undersized & cheap. Replaced with correct hardware out of my stock.Mr Hobart this is stand has your name on it. Reflects your interest in quality. If I found this quality level on my new Hobart welder it would be returned.

Hobart welding cart is sturdy, and well designed. Assembly could be better.
I bought this welding cart to hold my MIG welder . I like the low design , which keeps the unit stable, and it's narrow enough to travel around my crowded workshop. The top shelf is approximately level , and does not slant back too far as do some other designs. The steel materials used are surprisingly sturdy , and I have no concerns about it holding up my welder and medium sized tank. The rear wheels are rubber and plastic, but are a unique and very strong design. The front casters are adequate , and swivel on ball bearings. Assembling the unit was a bit frustrating, however. The sheet metal screws provided ( which secure the upper and lower shelves to the square tubings) are undersized and of poor quality, and stripped out quite easily. I had to replace 5 of the 8 sheet metal screws ( #8 screws) with # 12 screws. The existing holes worked ok for the larger screws, if you used a # 2 or # 3 phillips bit mounted in a ratchet wrench. The rear axle was about 3/8 of an inch too short, and I had to grind down the spacers they provided, and use some thinner washers to fit the rear wheels. Doing some custom fitting is not unusual for this type of stamped metal product, and if you have an average workshop or better, you'll get this cart together in about 2 hours with materials on hand. Overall, I'm pleased with this cart.

Good price. I did have to replace the metal ...
Fit the Hobart welder perfectly. Good price. I did have to replace the metal screws with small bolts as the screws immediately stripped out in the pre-drilled holes. Based on other reviews, I expected to do that so wasn't a surprise.

Had to modify washers to make it all fit together
Overall impression of the cart is good/ok. It is a lite-weight cart for the smaller Hobart Handler welders or small Hobart Plasma Cutters. I wish the cart would have been a few inches taller, thus allowing the lower shelf to be used for a second unit (such as welder on top, plasma cutter on bottom. A place to hang the tourch/groundclamp/power cable would have been very helpful also. Given the price of the cart, this is a good value for the money! The wheels are fairly small but roll well on concrete (and blacktop I would assume). They would not roll well in soft dirt or gravel so this is pretty much an 'indoor use' cart. Assembly is easily completed with use of a philips screw driver, slotted screwdriver, small pliers & 14mm wrench. The instructions are merely a diagram so don't expect 'step-by'step' instructions. The only assembly complaint I have is the 4 washers that slide over the rear wheel shaft did not fit! I had to machine about 1/16" out the center of each washer for it to fit or go buy replacement washers that do fit.Overall pleased with the value BUT the need to machine parts to assemble per the instructions (using the parts in the kit) is a big 'red flag' to me.

Excellent Welder Cart
I purchased this cart for my Hobart Handler 140 after seeing it on this site for almost half off. The reviews I read were concerning, but I bought it anyway since most of the complaints were the sheet metal screws it came with. I had no problems during assembly and my welder fits on it perfectly. This is a very nice cart.

Great cart, good size & went together well
I compared carts and I kept coming back to this one because I like the low-profile design. I also like the fact that the top shelf is not angled. The cart went together well, no issues - after reading some of the reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this is a good cart and it fits my Hobart Handler 140 MIG welder very nicely.

Bad screws!!
Well packaged for shipping. After unpacking and inspecting, I began to assemble it. The phillips screws provided with this are very soft and stripped out immediately. Luckily, being a mechanic for 30 years, I just happened to have some #10 x 3/4 inch sheet metal screws with 5/16 hex heads and pan washers(8 each required). Then I assembled it the rest of the way. OOPS!! had to take top shelf back off to install plate for tank holder. Needs better instructions as do most of these items now. Had to force the cotter in the wheel axle as the hole was just a bit shorter than the wheels with the washers and spacers provided. Once again being a mechanic saved the day. So, if you order this, be prepared and get the screws and washers for table plates and an alignment pick is also handy for the axle. Only other complaints I have is, it really needs a handle, and it's a bit over priced for a chinese product. I personally would not pay this much for this cart again. Should be AMERICAN MADE for that price. Over all not to bad a cart, not a great cart.

Save your money.
This thing is junk. Light duty held together with sheet metal screws. You probably own a welder. Just make one.
