Great sourdough knife

It’s a bread knife. What kind of difference could it make? A lot it turns out. Cuts through sourdough, including a crust that has stymied our prior bread knife, with ease. My partner, who is skeptical of my kitchen purchases, was amazed with this one.

Not as sharp as expected
It feels like it needs to be sharpened and I haven’t even used it yet! Hoping to return.

Worth the extra cost
Great knife, have owned two cheaper bread knives, one a Dexter Russel icut pro, forged, and the other an even cheaper stainless stamped blade, I hardly used either after a couple months light use as they just mashed bread and weren't worth much on tomatoes, this knife was light year ahead of the other two from first cut and still is after much more use than the other two. I was hesitant to spend the money given a lot of talk on chef and cooking message boards about there not being much of a difference between higher end and lower end bread knives, but I'm glad I took a bit of a middle ground. I'd also been meaning to try Mac knife, given all the good thing I'd heard about the bang for buck ratio on this knife.I considered some fancier, pricier bread knives, but decided to get this one instead and I find myself reaching for this knife in circumstances that I would never have used a bread knife for in the past. Little worried about re-sharpening this, but I run a honing steel through the serrations every now and then which seems to help pro-long the life of the edge.

Bread lovers rejoice.
I own a Mac knife and have for for a few years. Needed a bread knife and thought Mac might be a great choice. Cute through bread with ease even when stale. The price could make fall about 10 or 20 dollars in my opinion.

This knife thin slices tomatoes,onions,meats whatever. My go to knife for everything even hard crust bread
