Live Free Or Die: America (and the World) on the Brink

In a few previous reviews, I have stated that I am not a Democrat or a Republican and have always voted for the person that I felt was most qualified for the office they were seeking. Looking back over my voting history in all elections..local, state and national. my votes have been evenly split between the two parties. Now that I am older (in my 70's), I have started to pay more attention to politics. When younger, the topic never came up at home and certainly did not when I was on active duty in the USN. So, now I am trying to learn more and educate myself through reading books that interest me. And, this book absolutely increased my knowledge in several areas and I am delighted that I read it.Main stream media rears its ugly head in this one and the reader will see clearly the effect that biased reporting has had on the population. Sharyl Attkisson has been keeping a running tally of major mistakes that the media has made. Her count stood at 131 examples when this book was written. For the liberal press, the author uses the term 'fake news media' and a quote from him is that they 'spread lies, distortions and propaganda'. I agree with his take on the media as I stopped watching TV over a year ago. I would watch a news program and then watch another one on a different channel. By leaving out one portion of a sentence, the entire meaning was changed. So, I stopped watching as I realized it was extremely biased.The Green New Deal is discussed in great detail and I had no idea of the extent until I read this book. That portion was extremely informative to me and educational, as well. I would have to say that Chapter 4 which covered Socialism was outstanding. So many countries were covered including Romania, USSR, Cuba and others that the reader was given a real history of Socialism and how it works. One example was having to obtain a prescription in order to get milk for a baby. A clear and concise history is given and the reader will have a firm grasp on the topic by the end of that chapter.Some other topics include: Trump Derangement Syndrome, Deep State I - Russian Collusion, Deep State II - Failed Impeachment Attempt, A Republic if you can Keep it, the Electoral College, Democrats 2020 Agenda. Trump's Triumphs, the Coronavirus and more. As one might expect, lots of familiar names are mentioned including Obama, AOC, Warren, Biden, Pelosi and Bernie to name just a few.There are several examples cited concerning the lack of respect in our country today. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi when she tore up the copy of the State of the Union speech comes quickly to mind. When reading that part, I thought about Fyodor Dostoevsky's 'The Brothers Karamazov' as he mentions respect. Paraphrasing his words when he was writing about that very word....When a person has no respect that person stops loving. The truth within the individual is hard to locate.... So,perhaps this lack of respect and love is also a contributing factor in our society. Just a final thought as I try to make a little sense of this world we live in today.Well written, meticulously researched and facts are backed up with appropriate notes at the conclusion.Most highly recommended.

“Live Free Or Die” - a possible confabulation from Patrick Henry’s “Give me liberty or give me death” speech? Henry was on the steps of St. John’s church in Richmond, VA, 1775, urgently pleading for the FIRST freedoms of our great nation. Hannity, no less urgent, is desperately trying to wake folks up to the need for preserving that freedom.This book is extremely thorough and reviews all the hot issues, debunking nonsense with truth. Hannity refuses to put forth information until he/his staff can verify it with tangible source material, all of which is noted in this volume and can be accessed by the reader. Russian Collusion, Radicalism, Socialism, The Impeachment; you’ll find all these and more. Some have full chapters, others are woven thru the text. For me, I was most stunned by seeing the simple timeline of facts relating to the COVID CRISIS. Minus all the media hype and self aggrandizing from POTUS, he really has done a remarkable job.In the midst of the myriad of things I’ve done over my life, I’ve always been and am, a teacher. At present, I’m teaching music, ESL, Spanish and tutor a variety of subjects as needed. The disintegration of our education system and the CONTENT of what’s being included in it, has reached crisis level. This “cancel culture” mentality is ruining our history books, perverting our heritage and if it continues, runs the risk of future generations loosing the ability to learn from the mistakes AND the victories of our forefathers. To my educator’s mind, THIS is a prime example of our world, the future of “America on the Brink”.For those that purchase the Kindle version, there are some weird cut offs and page breaks that a copy editor or layout editor should have caught. It doesn’t effect the content but it does mess up the experience and I missed subject changes causing me to back track a few times. I LOVE the interactive notes function, on the positive side. The book itself ends at page 289 and the last 50 pages, or so, are acknowledgements and notes, etc. - that’s approximately 20% of the book.If your looking for information without all the redundant sound bites, regardless of which side you favor, this book will give it to you. Sure, Hannity is clearly conservative, but he’s also CLEAR. He’s snarky, for sure, but also self deprecating. This no-nonsense approach is like a breath of fresh air in a sea of media minutiae that quite frankly, doesn’t smell so good. Go Hannity, you do you and preach it - “Live Free Or Die”📚

In Chapter 3 Sean sums up Democrats perfectly ••• "The Joyless Party" ••• and they don't want you to have any joy either. Using their own words he has example after example. That Chapter alone is worth buying this book. I will continue reading, and update this review.UPDATE:Throughout the book you are reminded or informed of all that has been accomplished in the Trump Presidency despite all the wild lies and evil that was ment to take him down. His steadfast love of country is evident thoughout. My thanks to Sean and his staff and others who contributed for laying out the facts so clearly. In conclusion I reinterate my full support for reading this book and spreading the word about it to others. God bless President Trump and God bless the United States of America.

It is a logical and evolutionary view of America's founding principles that has lead us to where we are today. The book makes it clear why the author believes the upcoming election is pivotal in the future political and societal path of the nation. While the author is a very well-known conservative personality, it should come as no surprise from which viewpoint the book is written. I have seen other reviews of the book that have parsed certain words that the reader found offensive, or accused the author of not being the first to use various terms. That is petty and unfortunate. One must read the book to grasp the comparison between what the author believes to be the core values that have made America what it is today and the progressive platforms that some want to see enacted to change America as we have known it. One can agree or disagree with what the author writes, agree or disagree with the direction America needs to go, but the book is a worthy and thoughtful read from which to draw your conclusions.

Very thoughtful and coherent

Excellent title, excellent book. Sean Hannity speaks truth in a time riddled with Fake news and propaganda from those that hate the concept of America and the West. He advocates for Patriotism and love of one's homeland as an antidote to the left's postmodern doubt and fear. He rightly places the fight as between those that want to rid us of traditional values and those that believe in individual freedom as an inalienable right – a God given right rather than one that the state can take away.I can recommend this book to anyone that is concerned about the madness we see all around us. It will help to educate us as to our shared history, the battles that have been fought against those that wished to take away our hard-won freedoms. In an age where many are surrendering their rights without realising it, Sean Hannity reminds us of what we all still might lose unless Patriots stand up in the fight against these wicked ideologies.

Sean Hannity is a trust worthy, truthful reporter. 'Live Free or Die' is a clear cut, honestly written book. If anyone is looking for the truth in all things, watch Sean Hannity on Fox and definitely read his book.

A truthfull look at how the US was founded, the Christian background of its founders and the attempts by the Democrat Liberal Progressives to tear it down and implement socialism in the USA. A real eye opener of things to come. An excellent read.

If you are a Fox News “watcher” this book is clearly for you. If you religiously watch Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity & Laura Ingraham during the Fox nighttime lineup, this book is for you. Sean writes just like he speaks during his opening monologues. If you like that; then you will enjoy this book! He also sources a lot of his work. Much of the chapters contain a lot of references & quotations from both past & current American history, quite detailed. Surprisingly pleased & a great addition to my library.
