GEFUUniversal Peeler - Magic Peeler

This is the best potato peeler I have ever used! I have two. One is a spare in case God forbid something should happen to the first one. I bought one for my daughter for her birthday. She loves it too!

The blades are sharp and do a good job; it's easy to handle.The only reason for limiting it to 4 stars is that the blades are a bit short; they should be another 1/4" or so longer.

This is such a good veggie peeled, that I've given it as hostess gifts, Christmas gifts, shower gifts and wedding gifts. It may be more expensive than your dime-store peeler, but it's worth it. Stays razor sharp and does a great job.

Was introduced at a French Cooking Class ( our Chef paid $40.00 for his ) when we needed to peel a ripe Pear.This is the BEST EVER peeler.Use the guard when storing or not in use........ It will peel your skin.

I read some reviews and really bought this on the thought "how good can a peeler be". I've only had it for a while but yeah its that good. I hope it stays that way for a while.

Gave this as a gift and my friend said “I may go to jail after using this as a weapon!” It’s very sharp and does its job, she loves it. However, her husband is a bit concerned when both of his eyes are closed.

Not as attractive as some, but one that I have has stayed sharp for several years now. When I misplaced it, I immediately ordered two more!!! Much, much better from the OXOs which used to be sharp, but since made in China now, duds.

Best peeler I've ever had! I like it's simplicity and it's wonderfully sharp, good for peeling any fruit or veg.

Really well made if expensive. It is obviously going to give many years good service, but be careful it's razor sharp, don't loose the blade protector.

Ich habe den Schäler nun seit 2 Wochen im Einsatz. Und das bisher fast täglich.Der Griff IST gewöhnungsbedürftig. Vorallem wenn man (wie auch ich) eine andere Handhaltung gewohnt war.Jedoch gewöhnt man sich auch an die neue Form.Ich würde aber sagen, dass der Griff für kleine Hände eher weniger gedacht ist(Tipp: mit einer Rohrzange lässt sich der Griff bei Bedarf umformen, dann sollte er auch für kleine Hände gut funktionieren)Die Pendelschneide ist super. Scharf und beidseitig nutzbar. Wenn man erstmal den Dreh raus hat, kann man damit wunderbar schnell und effektiv arbeiten.Auch der, an der Rückseite angebrachte, Austecher ist klasse.Unheimlich praktisch und erspart mir die Zeit, mit einem Messer eventuelle Löcher auszuhebenDabei ist auch eine Schutzkappe für die Schneide. Ich empfehle diese auch zu nutzen. Vorallem wenn man (wie ich) den Schäler in einer Schublade mit anderen losen Küchenutensilien lagert.Kritik: leider wird in der Beschreibung nur gesagt, dass es sich bei der Schneide um japanischen Klingenstahl (Messerstahl) handelt.Wenn das wirklich so ist, sollte folgendes gesagt sein;jap. Messerstahl ist NICHT ROSTFREI.Der gesamte Schäler ist aus 18/10 Edelstahl und somit rostfrei.Die Klinge ist es nicht.jap. Messerstahl besitzt keinen Chromanteil und ist somit nicht korrosionsgeschützt.Also nach dem Gebrauch, reinigen und gut trocknen, dann die Kappe drauf. Bitte keine Spülmaschine. Der Klingenstahl macht das nicht lange mit.Wenn man das aber beherzigt, sollte die schneide lange scharf bleiben und sich ggf. auch problemlos nachschärfen lassen.
