Very good quality kids short, perfect size

I've been buying these for years for my son. He loves them. I'm glad we found somewhere to buy them now that Target doesn't carry them anymore. Great quality, great durability, good looks, and a good comfortable fit.

This is normally where I'd begin my review by talking about it being summer and we no longer need school uniform bottoms every day so we need to buy new summer clothes, but the fact is we've been out of school for quite some time now. Regardless, as children are wont to do, my son has grown since last year, and we have been slowly adding to his "pandemic" wardrobe. These are a great addition.As you'd expect from the Champion brand, these are designed to be active ware. My son tends to be a stringbean, so I won't even consider bottoms without either the adjustable tabs in the waist or a drawstring. These do have the drawstring, and if I were you, I'd tie knots in the ends before washing or wearing; this is more of a ribbon drawstring and the ends are simply stitched folded over once - it would be very easy to get the ends lost in the shorts.I really love the mesh pockets. My son is a collector, so pockets are a must. The extra zippered pocket on one side is a really fun touch, and would be a good place to stash ice cream money if we went anywhere.

I have the size Medium, and they measure 17” from the top to the bottom. The inseam is 9”. They are made of 100% polyester. The outside is smooth and slick. There are side pockets which are nice and deep. When you look inside, the pockets are mesh. There is a smaller zipper pocket, on the lower left leg. Nice to keep keys in, etc. These shorts have a 1.75” elastic waistband. There’s also a drawstring inside. They look quite nice. Made in Vietnam.

These shorts are gray and very soft and comfortable. They are 90/10 poly/spandex and quiet breathable. They have been holding up well with being worn to school and at home. My son is pretty hard on clothing - as most children are and they seem to be holding up quiet well. There are no pulls or issues with the fabric. The stitching is done with care and I honestly couldn't find a stitch out of place - I am a seamstress and the sewing on this shirt is done very well. The drawstring is functional.These are awesome plain shorts that are fairly priced, but if it will stay together and look good by the time my child outgrows it then the extra money is worth it to me.I wash with Tide original powder with cold water and gain scent boosters and tumble dry on low/med heat. I did not notice that shorts had any shrinkage or issues with color fading or grabbing other colors. The short h really great stitching and no issues so far.
