Use this to empty the 5 gal. DWC's in my grow tent. It works fine for that purpose.Note that by itself, it will not reach to the bottom of a 5 gal bucket. However, to make nute change-outs easier, I cut a 1 3/4" hole in the flange of the 6" net pots (keep the holes covered with foil when not changing out nutes) and simply poke the siphon in to drain - to avoid disturbing plants sensitive to being pulled out of their pails. This way, it reaches to the bottom of the bucket and extracts all the liquid. Beats the heck out of lifting plants out of buckets to drain/replace nutes every week.It takes 2 D batteries and they seem to last a reasonable period of time. Frankly, If I had to change the batteries each month it'd be worth it for the convenience. Very please with this purchase.

Poorly made product. Leaks at connection. The hose is bigger than the clamps on the side of the pump.Total junk

I use it to fill my pontoon gas tank. Very handy and I have used it now a half dozen times. If I get six more uses out of it I will feel it is worth the 19.99 price tag and then some

Great for moving diesel fuel from a can to tank, especially from new generation fuel cans. New EPA fuel cans are frankly a pain in the butt to empty into another vessel, due to vapor and spill protection improvements. This product helps immensely IF you do not have to lift the liquid very far (greater than one foot). If you can get the fuel can even or above the vessel you are draining to, it works great - quick too. I would not move gasoline with this product, it is too flammable.WARNING - the transfer hose fits loosely on the plastic pump housing. It is easy to knock the hose off and spill/shoot your transfer liquid in all directions and perhaps on yourself. I STRONGLY recommend you purchase a hose clamp and secure the hose to the pump housing. A hose clamp really is something that should be included with this product...and is potentially dangerous without! BEWARE.
