Halo - The Art of Building Worlds: The Great Journey

This is a great addition to my art book collection. Came 10 days earlier than I was expecting, thanks Amazon.

My sister loves the series and is an inspiring digital artist. She loves the book with all the background of the areas and characters.I noticed little details like there are images and text that are glossed but not the whole page. The inside covers are background art, there is even a nice looking engraving in the cover under the dust jacket.

I am a halo fan, and I’ve never been to much into collecting the art books but seeing as this was on sale , I gave it a try and I am not disappointed . Some of the pictures make me remember when I first played the game all that time ago and all of the pics are detailed and cool.

9/10 this book doesn’t really waste a page I feel like. I’m so happy they didn’t cram any 343 stuff in this book and let bungie’s legacy shine all the way on every page with a pretty good informative analysis of each thing in the pages. must have book for any above average halo fan. They didn’t go into to much detail at all about noble team they didn’t even show carter or really any images of the interior buildings of the installations or guilty spark concepts. But still a really solid book worth the money just would of made it perfect with that for me.

4 stars:It's a Halo coffee table art book. Lovely to flip through and the high gloss pages are really nice. The only reason why I'm docking this a star is that they spent all that effort on the pages themselves, and couldn't do a similar, high-gloss for the art sleeve it comes in. The art sleeve has a matte texture and is quite thick, but it will attract dust and is difficult to wipe clean should liquid droplets get on it.As in my title, please, please please check the packaging for damage. My box came with damage on the corners. Thankfully, this did not really impact the book itself, a minor curl of the free corners occurred, but it is purely cosmetic with no separation of the cover layers. This is not an Amazon or seller issue, this is purely the carrier issue.

I'm one of the biggest Halo fans I know. I've been a fan since I was 10, back when Halo: Combat Evolved first released. It's been one hell of a journey. I don't collect many things, and though my most expensive hobby is definitely my love for cars, Halo might be second on that list. So, when I found this product on amazon, it didn't take much time for me to add it to my cart, along with a few other Halo books/art books.And I was so glad I did. I can't really go into detail about it. If you're reading this, it is likely you're a big Halo fan, and the only question in your mind is "is this worth $25?"To me, the answer is unabashedly yes. But I'm an admitted Halo-fanboy. I love the art, the music, the characters, the story, the gameplay, the canon, the history. This book is just another cherry on the lovely Halo cake. And I love cherries!

A real treat! Nice coffee table book loaded with incredible Halo Art. Features everything from Covenant to Flood to UNSC. This large hardcover does not disappoint. It has it all weapons, uniforms, armor, Spartans, Noble Team, ODST, Fleet vehicles, and spacecraft. Buy it! John-117 would.

It arrived on a good state from the package and had no scratches or injury of any kind so far, and while the pages, picture quality and small bits of info in between are bloody amazing, that's all it has.It's just a book with cool Halo images, nothing more, nothing else.Consider it a worthy purchase if you have leftover money for it or like drawing and grabbing inspiration in the flesh.

Years ago I got the Art of Halo book that came before this - which i loved. This seemed like a good follow up. It contains almost everything from the previous book and so much more. It's been a while since I've read through it but if memory serves it covers Halo 1, 2, 3, ODST and reach. So, basically - the Bungie era. Great annotations, a lot of insight - a nice read.It's so good for reference as well - line drawings, digital paintings - so great.It also features loads of designs for spartan armor - which i think is what most people are interested to see!

Una lectura interesante para quienes sean muy fans de la saga, aunque me hubiera gustado que tuviera más artworks descartados y cosas por el estilo, que ofreciese una visión más analítica de cómo se llegó a la estética final. Es más un libro para deleitarse con el arte que ya conocemos, con grandes y coloridos artworks a dos páginas.

Les vrais fans y trouveront une mine d'informations et de une palette incroyable d'illustration à couper le souffle. Comme toujours dans ce type de bouquin, il est difficile à transporter partout et à lire aisément sans support (table, lit, canapé...) adéquat. Mais dès son ouverture, on se replonge avec bonheur dans un univers riche et incroyablement addictif.
