Can cisco smartnet be applied for switches purchased from amazon?

Y’know, that’s a fair question, but I don’t think so. I'm pretty sure Smartnet is only available for equipment purchased from Cisco directly or thru one of their certified partners. That said, we buy these thru Amazon because we spend so much on our Smartnet for our core and distribution equipment already that keeping a few on the shelf for spares works better for us. If in the rare occasion they do fail, we have one readily available for replacement--and even though they’re not purchased from Cisco or a partner, their reliability is still intact. This process works for us, YMMV.
