"A gift from the creator"
Wild rice is natural and magical. This specific brand has held up well in my book. Always good quality, always good taste, and always nutritionaly rich. In my rice cooker i choose the "multigrain" option wich is around 70 minutes. I use 1 to 2 tablespoons of organic non gmo California olive oil and it comes out too good to not be great!

Hardy and tastes great
Used this rice today to make a creamy chicken wild rice soup! Rice was outstanding. You will want to cook rice separate and add to soup since it absorbs a lot of water! I used 3 cups water to 3/4 cup rice and drained. Buy!You won't be disappointed! I also could not find wild black rice at my local grocery store.

MN Wild Rice - Easy to prepare. Tastes great
Title says it all but Amazon wants more soHad it as a side dish (w butter and salt) which was delicious on its own. Also made a veggie burger with it. Provided a neutral tasting filler with a surprisingly great texture if you want to use it in a burger.

Authentic, flavorful, nutritious, versatile
This brand of wild rice is not only authentic, flavorful, nutritious, and versatile- use it in soups, salads, casseroles, bread, desserts, or all in its own- but is a great value and supports indigenous people to thrive and continue to preserve and celebrate their ancestral culinary roots, and cultivation of this ancient grain. I grew up in Minnesota, and it is the only place I want to purchase wild rice from, as when you purchase wild rice cultivated in Mn, especially from the Red Lake Nation, you know you are getting an authentic product of the highest quality-and it is!

Great wild rice
Cultivated wild rice is not readily available in the south. This is really good tasting and goes with several different proteins and vegetables.

Exceptional quality . . . and fluctuating prices?!?!
First off, don't leave negative reviews if you don't understand/know what wild rice is (oh, and you are so surprised it is a grass and then tell others about it like you found out a secret). You look like a dolt when you leave two-star reviews that, basically, reduce to: "Oh, it's not Uncle Ben's (or, now, Ben's) rice mix!" I understand buyer's remorse. But you should leave a review of yourself, not the product. Bad batch? Sure. Bad packaging? Sure. But not your own willful ignorance of a product.Second, this is the real deal. Nutty flavor. Slightly off-putting smell while cooking it (but that is what wild rice smells like when you are cooking it). And the instructions are spot-on: 45-60 minutes; 3x water (or stock) to 1x rice (per cup). The result? A toothsome (I hate that word) substitute to actual rice and a better overall product than most of those mixes that include real rice and a small percentage of the wild stuff. But, third, what is up with the pricing? I got mine for around $31. Went to write my review and now it costs 38.78?!?! Is surge pricing a thing with wild rice? Was there a wild rice warehouse fire in the past three days? I mean, I get it: A/B pricing exists on Amazon. But standardizing a product's prices--at least for a month or so--seems to make sense. If prices go up for obvious reasons, so be it. But this seems random and odd. And I am not the first person to note this in the reviews.=============================Edit 23 Feb. 2023: the price is now $44?!?!? I seriously hope the producers/sellers read this and figure out a way to communicate to buyers _why_ these sorts of price spikes are happening. Otherwise, you risk losing those customers. Which would be a shame. And the whole "subscribe and save" thing sounds goods (40% off!). But, seriously? I love this stuff. That said, I can't set my watch to when and how much of it I will make in a given month. And I certainly can't fathom yet another, even larger, price hike so soon after I purchased and positively reviewed this product.==============================Fourth, and finally, nice to support FN/NA growers who provide a good product, well-packaged. I will buy again . . . so long as the prices stay reasonable (see "EDIT" above).
