French Blood Sausage, Boudin Noir - 4 links 0.8 - 1 lb

My husband really liked the black pudding he had at Harry Potter's Wizarding World on our vacation so I recreated a proper English breakfast for his birthday. This sausage didn't taste the same as that, but we really enjoyed the unique flavor of this as well. Arrived packed in styrofoam with ice packs and tasted great sliced and fried up in a skillet with all the fixings. The one that I had in mind had many "christmasy" spices, this one is much more savory with onion flavor most prominent. You can see the large grains of oatmeal in it and it has a very sausagy texture. Overall I was delighted by the product and delivery. Great experience!

I was sooooo hesitant about ordering this online, and should have gone with my gut. When it got to us, I had my British husband open them and see what he thought the quality was. He immediately insisted on throwing them away due to the rancid smell and told me to contact the seller. I did just that (TWICE) and never once got a call back or any explanation/refund. If nothing else, that speaks volumes.

I purchased this boudin in December, kept it frozen for several months and then sauteed it with sliced onions and apples last month. It was delicious and reminded me of the boudin I had in Vendee, France. I recommend this for its good quality and excellent flavor, and am ordering more.Michelle P.

The texture was good, ration blood/fat also good , the casing popped as it should when the sausage was cooked thru .However it was a bit bland . I grew up in south of France making our own boudin and my mother used a 5 spice blend that was awesome .With the right spice , it will be perfect

I ordered it as a culinary treat for my birthday; this is one of the things I didn't expect to miss from my home country after 2 years. The pictures aren't what you get. I expected something from Terroirs d'Antan, I received a brand called "Fabrique Délices". The disappointment was strong, but not as strong as my crave, so I cooked it and it was ok. Not the best I ever had, but it still seems of above average quality; consistency and taste both simple and good. I would advise to cook onions or apple with spices to go with.Overall, I think this is way overpriced, and I was annoyed by the small lie these product pictures are. But I am still glad I can find something close to what can be found in France for my occasional crave.

It is just like I remembered as a young child growing up in a French Canadian family. I have not had it in 44 years.

Arrived fresh and ready to eat. My father-in-law loved it. He hadn't had it since he was a child.
