In spite of some minor shortcomings, I recommend these mirrors.
I needed an extended set of mirrors to tow a travel trailer with my 1995 Chevrolet 3/4 Ton truck. Some of the reviews of these mirrors said that the wiring was wrong and resulted in them moving in the wrong direction compared to the switch. These mirror didn't have that problem--they operated properly, though I tested them before installation. The only thing that was wrong is that the gasket for the Right Hand mirror was labeled for the Left Hand and vice versa. It still fit properly, and since they are "mirror" images of each other, you could probably swap them with each other and they'd be on the correct mirror.I found that I didn't have to remove the door panel to replace the mirror. Just slide the small triangular piece of plastic at the front of the door up to unclip it or use the provided tool to pull the plastic fastener out of the door. Pull the foam insulation out of the opening and the mounting studs and wiring is then exposed. The wiring is short and would be very hard to get out if it fell inside the door, so I hung a bungee cord hook between two of the wires and let it dangle down. The nut closest to the front of the truck is the hardest to get to. I found that a ratcheting box end wrench with a swing head worked great. It takes a 10mm wrench-- I bought mine from a hardware store...the complete set was only $40 and the wrenches had a feature that would lock the head at a preset angle. One of the nuts can be gotten off with a ratchet and socket, and the other with a ratchet and wobble extension on the socket. When removing the nuts I put a small telescoping pickup magnet at the middle of the hole in the wrench to catch the nut as it came off the stud. When installing, the upper stud is longer to allow for the use of the included reinforcing bracket. When first putting mirror on the truck if you don't have someone to hold the mirror while you start the nuts, put a fender washer on the long stud at top and it will hold the mirror in place. Install the other nuts, then remove the fender washer and put the bracket in place and tighten down the bolt DON'T TIGHTEN TOO MUCH!! (Take my word for it). The studs are the metric equivalent of a 1/4" diameter bolt and won't take a heavy hand tightening them down. The included instructions were a grainy photocopy and didn't help much. But, it only took a moment to understand that you put the short curled side of the bracket towards the rear of the truck with the curled edge pointing outside the truck. It wraps around a metal ridge in the door and helps secure it. The long side is towards the front of the truck. I put this on last because it's in the way of getting the other nuts on.I just installed the mirror and gasket over the existing bracket. The contours of the base of the mirror match up with the profile of the door. When I tested then out, I found that they vibrate a little--the RH side more than the left. I attribute this to the fact that they are hanging farther out from the side of the truck so any movement is magnified. Also, the adjustable spot mirror on the RH side doesn't push back at the top as much as I would like... hard to see cars alongside your truck. I drove with the mirrors retracted and extended, and though they vibrated a little I still could see what I needed to when backing or making lane changes, etc.Pro's- Great Price- Easy installation- Work as Intended- Look Good on the TruckCon's- Installation instructions aren't very clear visually.- Vibrates a little, but not horrible- RH (Passenger side) mirror vibrates more than driver's side- RH spot mirror limited in adjustment.Overall conclusion-- In spite of some relatively minor shortcomings, I recommend these mirrors.

Don't be tempted by the flashier alternatives!
I have a Silverado 2018 1500 LT, so I had the small car sized mirrors. I wanted to upgrade to larger mirrors since I had added a topper and was going to use my truck to plow snow.An amazon search showed all kinds of fancy lighted alternatives that come stock on the higher trim trucks, but when you read the reviews you saw that they often had trim panels that flew off, lights that stopped working, filled with water, or broke easily. These mirrors don't have any lights and the back of the mirror is one piece of plastic, so there are no extra lenses to fly off or fill with water. They are heated, however. The installation is fairly easy with the help of the Youtube video from "1A Auto". If you are going from the small mirrors, like I did, to the large ones, you will have drill an additional 4th hole. GM makes this easy. The door is made out of two layers of metal and the first layer actually has a hole cut where you need to drill through the second layer, so no guess work. Use a center punch and pilot hole, my bit liked to walk around quit a bit.The hardware included is pretty nice. They used the same threads on the mountings studs as factory, so I used my factory nuts, because they had a larger flange, and then one of the included nuts (remember there is an extra stud on these). The glass quality is pretty good and the motors seem to move smooth. The folding in and out is OK, but not as crisp and repeatable as a factory mirrors. Overall pretty good considering a set of factory tow mirrors are about $600. The other nice inclusion is that for whatever reason, only on the passenger side of the vehicle, the style of wire clips that hold the harness in place are not easily reusable like the driver's side. I panicked for a minute and then realized that this kit came with the better style clips to install on the passenger side. Nice touch. Also a note on that, if this is your first time, take the passenger side apart first, that way if you scuff something or gouge some plastics, you learn on the passenger side and not on the driver's side where you have to look at it everyday.

Worked Perfect
We needed to change ours on our truck to pull our travel trailer and they worked wonderful and made seeing so much easier.

Not perfect
Right mirror is slanted more toward the truck then left mirror and has slight more shake to it then OEM mirrors. But they are about half the price of high quality mirrors sooooo you get what you pay for. Heat works great on them and the clarity of the mirror itself is very good.
