NeilMed's Sinus Rinse Extra Strength Pre-Mixed Hypertonic Packets, 70 Count Box

This was the right choice for me. So far it's working and keeping out of the Dr's office. This is an excellent choice if you do get a cold and brings instant relief.

These packets are stronger than the regular strength for sure. It feels like your nose is being vacuumed out with a tingly feeling. Would not advise anyone who has never used a neti pot or any kind of nasal spray to start with this formula, but if you're used to it already and/or use a nasal spray regularly, you will be able to handle this. It is very good for clearing out the nasal passages. I used to use a steroid spray for allergies but it made my nose too dry and caused bleeding. I am now using this during a virus and it's helping a lot to reduce the congestion.

I saw this extra strength NielMed sinus rinse when looking for the regular version. I had a pretty nasty sinus infection and cold and I swear by sinus rinsing. This version made my cold go away faster. There’s definitely a stronger zing but that’s when you know it working and killing all that bacteria. I’m getting this one from now on.

This works so well! I had been using the regular strength but was looking for just a little bit more to clear my constant congestion. The only reason I deducted a star was because it really does burn and makes my eyes water. I even added a little extra water to try and dilute it a little more and it’s still a bit much.

THIS PRODUCT REALLY HELPS MY SINUS ISSUES

I have used a Nettie pot for many years now, but just switched to the Extra Strength Hypertonic packs. The price was reasonable for a bulk box, and it didn't burn like I thought it might. I will definitely continue to purchase and use NeilMed products because they are trustworthy and effective.

Limited research shows that a hypertonic saline solution may be more effective in reducing nasal mucosal or nasal lining congestion on a short term basis of a few hours. The theory is that hypertonic salt solution will draw water component out of the congested nasal tissue. It is possible that you may experience temporary burning or stinging with the hypertonic solution. If you experience any burning or discomfort, please use an isotonic solution. These are the double dose of the original packets, so they did burn slightly during the first use but then I was prepared for a little tingle. I felt they helped clean my sinuses out well, however I felt very dry in my nose then (extra salt meant extra dry??). I’ll use the rest of these, but will probably just do a double dose of the regular packs at the beginning of my colds when they run out.

Purchased in desperation to try and relieve sinusitis I was suffering for 6 long weeks. Even a week of antibiotics hadn’t got rid of it completely. This stuff relieved symptoms after one use! Used 3 times daily and my sinusitis has practically gone! Amazing.
