I've been using the DWR-932W 4G hotspot for a few week, and it's performing well. As someone who travels frequently for work and relies on stable, high-speed internet wherever I go, this little device has become my go-to companion. Here's why I'm giving it a solid five stars: First off, the portability is unbeatable. It's incredibly compact – about the size of a credit card and lightweight enough to slip into my pocket or backpack without noticing it's there. The battery life is impressive too; I get up to 10 hours of continuous use on a single charge, which means I can power through a full day of remote work, streaming, or video calls without hunting for an outlet. Recharging is quick via USB-C, and it even supports power banks for extended trips. The 4G connectivity is lightning-fast. In areas with good coverage, I've clocked download speeds over 80-90Mbps, making it ideal for downloading large files, HD streaming on Netflix, or even online gaming without lag. Setup was easy, inserted Sim and powered it on, it states 32 devices can connect at once, but I dont have 32 devices to connect! but haven't had an issue so far Overall, the DWR-932W is a solid performer for anyone needing reliable mobile internet on the move. It's durable, user-friendly, and delivers performance without breaking the bank. Highly recommended.

I bought this to provide an always-on wifi hotspot in a remote location, so it is always plugged in and (almost) always has devices connected. Generally, I'm getting on with it well, but with one important caveat. It is working well and is very stable ONLY if it only has it's 2.4Ghz interface enabled (i.e. 5Ghz disabled). If 5Ghz is enabled, it seems to periodically kick everything off, and nothing can re-connect until it's been rebooted. I haven't had chance to try and diagnose why - I'm fine with just using 2.4Ghz - but, as others have said, it does seem like the firmware is a bit flaky. It's managed through a local web interface, which is pretty clunky, but it's just about usable. Also as others have said, sometimes your changes don't save. I think you just have to go really slow with it, maybe. Battery life is "OK"; probably 12 hours of light use, of course if you can plug it in and run it off a mains USB charger - and you're happy with only using 2.4Ghz, then I'll get weeks of uptime out of it without needing a restart. Speed and latency seem good enough for general use. You can do a video call perfectly well over it, which is the limit of what I needed. Overall good value for money, I'm happy.

The last D-Link product I owned was one of their home WiFi routers years ago which had constant instability issues. This mobile dongle is no exception. Despite setting it up correctly (I am a tech expert) the device would work for a while until the next time I would turn it on and the connection setting would change itself from 'Always Connected' to 'Manual Connection'. In short, Always connected means upon start up, mobile internet connection is turned on/available. Manual requires you to manually turn on LTE connection each time after start up, in order to connect and use mobile internet. For some reason, it would always switch itself from Always connected to manual connection, and when trying to change the setting from always connected back to manual, the setting does stick - it flicks immediately back to manual connection. Nightmare. The same thing happens with the 2.4ghz and 5ghz wifi settings, both flicked from on to off without my input, when trying to change either of them back to on, it says the setting is saved, but refreshing the router admin page and the settings are still set to off.

My old wifi hotspot device (Netgear Aircard 762) started to play up so I had to get a replacement. Looking on the market I say this device as a similar replacement. The D-Link DWR 933 performs as expected, it has a WPS button, a clear LCD display and so far I have managed to get 80mbps from my 4g connection (which is really good) The device settings are accessed by a web page, and it is pretty informative (even better that my old access point's web interface. You can set all the passwords and internet settings here, it has very complex settings that are fully customisable I am currently using this device with 4 attached devices.. they all work well and perform again as expected. You can connect either 2.4 or 5 ghz as there are 2 separate wifi access points on the device. Range is very good I have my laptop connected in another room and the signal is very strong. Cannot really fault the device but would like to be able to view TXT messages with the built in LCD screen instead of having to log onto the device to view the TXT. The device will not work witout the battery inserted, my old hotspot would work on USB power without a battery, as I was at home most of the time and didnt need to use the devices battery. The hotspot also has a micro sd slot so you can use the device as a network storage device. Handy to share files over your own network. When On battery the hotspot lasts well over 10 hours with lots of use. Pros • Good Value • Compact • Removable battery • Good display • Long battery life Cons • Wont run on USB power only (needs battery in device) • LCD screen is tiny • Micro USB port (should be USB C really) Can recommend this product if you are after a wifi 4G Hotsport

Je suis passé d'environ 6 coupures par jour au début, à 0 coupure 2 semaines plus tard, comment en analysant le fonctionnement et en paramétrant correctement la clé, tout est expliqué dessous. J'ai acheté cette clé "D-Link dwm-222w" car je suis sur "Linux" distribution "Linux-Mint", pour le moment je n'ai plus aucun Windows. J'ai bien pris connaissance des avis médiocres sur toutes les autres clés vendues sur amazon et d'autres sites informatique. Suite à cet avertissement, j'ai fait l'analyse complète de la clé et de son fonctionnement je la teste depuis des semaines, et le problème à mon avis ne vient pas des clés vendu, mais des paramétrages, et du matériel additionnel: 1) Où est installée la clé, avec quel matériel. 2) Est-elle bien paramétrée. 3) Quelle météo fait-il. Tout ces paramètres mélangés vous donneront très peu de coupure, mais vous aurez des coupures aléatoirement en fonction de tout ça. Au début j'avais environ 4 à 6 coupures par jour. Ensuite après quelques réglages et changement du câble, où je branche la clé je suis à 0 coupure. Voici ma critique personnelle sur cette clé 4G. J'ai choisi en 1er une clé 4G car j'ai pu là placer en face de la fenêtre là où cela capte le mieux, j'ai utilisé 3 câbles différents. un câble usb3 de 1m, 2m, 3m. Encore 1 fois ce n'est pas la clé le responsable de coupure. Si je mets 1m, je suis légèrement dans le mur, 2m c'est mieux niveau longueur mais ce câble de 2m me donne bien plus de coupure de connexion, le 3m est parfait. (choisissez un câble qui aura peu de coupure). Je n'ai donc pas choisi de gros routeur 4G, car lui doit être placer à l'endroit où y a de la place. Et la clé donc, j'ai pu la mettre juste en face de la fenêtre. J'ai choisi cette clé 4G qui ne me servira que pour dépanner ma connexion principale fibre optique, quand j'ai des problèmes de réseau fibre ou réseau local, je passe en connexion 4G. En 1er il faut faire ce qu'il y a d'indiquer sur la notice pdf, pour la trouver il faut simplement taper "dwm-222w pdf" traduisez là en français à l'aide d'un traducteur automatique, puis ensuite, place au paramétrage, aller sur l'adresse d'indiquer, en 192.168... cette clé ya quasiment rien à configurer, d'abord il vous faudra juste changer les 2 mots de passe, le principal, et celui du réseau ssid. Après avoir fait ceci, il ne restera plus qu'à entrer le CODE PIN de la carte sim. internet > gestion des PIN Il faudra donc mettre le CODE PIN à chaque fois qu'on allume la clé 4G, ensuite internet fonctionne. Les SMS, fonctionnent également en réception et émission, il y a qu'à lire la notice pdf, pour comprendre le fonctionnement. Et en dernier ya l'aspect météo et emplacement de l'antenne 4G la distance en kilométres, qui peut avoir un aspect significatif sur les chiffres qui s'affichent sur la page d'accueil au niveau réception. Je suis chez l'opérateur "sosh" en France et cela marche parfaitement. Personnellement là je suis en pleine campagne et l'antenne d'après la carte est à 2.5km, ça marche très bien par temps couvert et ciel dégagé, et pluie. Donc il faut pour réussir à avoir une connexion stable comme moi (j'ai fait 2 semaines d'essai, pour passer de 5, 6 coupures par jour à 0 coupure). Il faut faire des modifs sur le paramétrage de la clé, et noter quelque part les statistiques de coupure, faut faire 1 changement par jour, pas plus car autrement vous vous mélangerez. Suivant la météo ou quel câble on a mis, car oui j'ai fait un paquet d'essai sur tel paramétrage en cochant si ou ça, et on élimine les paramétrages qui donnent trop de coupure, ou qui empêchent la connexion. Et le truc qui m'a donné le moins de coupure cela à été de mettre le câble usb3 de 3m c'est le truc le plus efficace pour moi. Pour avoir les chiffres sur le nombre de coupures, j'ai simplement lancé une commande "ping" dans un terminal linux pour vérifier l'état de connexion. Une bonne chose à savoir c'est qu'avec un téléphone si on passe devant une fenêtre on capte mieux l'appel, pour une clé 4G c'est pareil. POINTS NÉGATIFS: au début je n'ai eu que des coupures entre 6 et 4 par jour (de façon aléatoire et sans raison, comme 80% des avis sur les clés vendues partout), car je ne savais pas le fonctionnement de la clé, au fil des jours et en notant sur mon fichier texte, ce qu'il fallait éliminer, et ce qui marche bien, j'ai éliminé le mauvais et gardé le bon, il faut juste lire la doc pdf (et être patient, quant au résultat qui ne se fera pas en 1 jour), et avoir des câbles USB long pour faire des essais.

Ottimo prodotto l'ho provato con SIM TIM, Wind3 e con modem Router Fritz Box 7590 ma serve una piccola prolunga USB maschio/femmina.

La chiavetta si è dimostrata perfettamente funzionante con diverse schede, inclusa quella dell'operatore Very. Acquistata per l'utilizzo del navigatore, la chiavetta garantisce un'ottima ricezione del segnale e una connessione stabile, laddove la copertura di rete sia presente. Non è richiesta alcuna configurazione iniziale; tuttavia, qualora si desiderasse modificare la password o altre impostazioni, l'operazione risulta estremamente semplice. Si consiglia vivamente l'acquisto.

Soyons très honnête, je déconseille très fortement ce produit. Il ne fonctionne pas avec les cartes nano SIM 5G! En effet la carte n'est pas reconnue et l'appareil la voit absente. J'ai effectué des tests avec différentes cartes SIM 5G et différents operateurs. Tout du moins avec le Firmware 1.00B1 sur les 2 appareils reçus. (Peut-être des anciens stocks dispo sur Amazon). Le support DLink pourtant contacté est aux abonnés absents. Aucune réponse de leur part. Il semble que le problème vient de ce firmware qui date et qui serait la 1ère version. Le comble est que l'appareil peut se mettre à jour de lui-même... Mais sans connexion possible au réseau internet, cela n'est pas possible.
