MMOBIEL Speaker Set Left and Right Replacement Compatible with MacBook Pro 15 inch Retina A1398 No. 609-0336-A 2012-2015

I'd been living with rattly speakers for years in my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013). When I finally needed to replace the battery I decided to clean the whole chassis out and replace the speakers. Pricing and reviews were reasonable so gave these a try. They wound about as good as I recall the OEM ones and certainly better than the rattle I've been living with. Installation was a pain but that's on Apple for their complex laptop design. Everything went back together and with the new battery (and plastic feet) it's like a new laptop again.

So, I bought this because my MacBook Pro’s speakers were getting busted. So I decided to find replacements online and I don’t regret buying this one in particular. At first, I was afraid that I was gonna screw up the repair process, but I stayed VERY CAREFUL, and with enough perseverance and determination, I successfully repaired and replaced my speakers. I played some music on it and it works excellent! == Sound quality is amazing, I can hear my laptop from a room away. The size is the same as the OEM speakers and I couldn’t have seen no product worth enough money than this. It’s worth the money! Disclaimer: PLEASE, If you never watched a tutorial, please watch one. I didn’t mess up because I watched it, most of the negative reviews here are people that didn’t stay careful. Anyways, amazing replacement, A++++ and would DEFINITELY buy again if they somehow mess up.

My Mid-2014 MacBook Pro blew the right speaker first, then the left one about a month later. I bought this set to replace them and so far they have been working well. I have to agree with some of the other reviews saying that they are not as loud as the original speakers, but they sound much better than blown speakers and I don't listen to my laptop for audiophile sound quality any way... The two screwdrivers were the correct size for removing the screws to do the job, however; only one of them was magnetized?

Did these speakers work: YES! They sound good! Do they sound as good as the originals? I can't say for sure but they might. I don't have a good way to compare that. Is this an easy install? NO... This install isn't for the faint of heart. You have to almost completely remove the motherboard. Part of each speaker is tucked underneath the motherboard and, of course, there's a screw under there :( There are excellent videos on how to do this on YouTube. If you just follow the instructions, keep all the tiny screws organized, take your time and be patient you can do this. While you're at it, consider installing new thermal paste on the processor and video chip (if you have one). If your Mac is old enough for the speakers to have worn out I can guarantee the thermal paste has dried up and is no longer effective. AND ANOTHER "While you're at it", put new batteries in if you haven't already. I had already replaced the batteries and thermal compound about a year ago. Seriously, just do it.... OH AND ANOTHER THING LOL - you'll be removing the SSD when replacing the speakers, if you need more space take care of that too...

The speakers in my 2014 Macbook Pro had failed woofers; the sound was very tinny and unpleasant. Just installed these replacements today, and I'm really quite pleased with them. The sound quality is pretty decent, definitely much fuller sound now. The installation process is non-trivial, though; I've been servicing laptops on my own for a long time so I was pretty comfortable with it. Still took me 1.5 hours. Managing the screws you've taken out is very important, there are a lot of different styles and sizes.

These Speakers Work and Sound Great on my MacBook Pro A1398 Model. Had Purchased OEM Speakers from Ebay B4 this Purchase and were Busted, which made me Lose Time and was disappointed. Very Happy with this Outcome!

At this price point, one might not want to get their hopes up. The speakers work, but the volume is roughly 60% when compared to the originals, frequency response parameters and tonal reproduction quality are also not very good compared to the originals. (Yes, speakers need a break-in period in order to loosen up, but trying to squeeze any more out of these speakers would be a waste of time, imo. (Disclosure: I've been doing deep-dive hardware repairs on virtually all Apple products for over 20 years and my recommendation would be that if you can source OEM speakers for your MacBook Pro 15" Retina, I'd suggest you go that route, should (far) better sound quality be your goal. Something else to consider . . . there are myriad inexpensive, small and quite portable, rechargeable bluetooth speakers that sound so much better than even the original speakers your MacBook Pro had fresh out of the box.

We received the item with Prime. Installation was quite the challenge, but thanks to many YouTube installation video examples, we managed to replace both speakers with no issues. The speakers appear to be not original Apple speakers, but the sound is acceptable.

Basically I order these Speakers new but J receive one part Broken some part of it it's broke I just open the pakcage it was like that probably from The transporting the item in Cargo however it worked and I didn't want to make the return cuz it's long proceece

DO NOT BUY. The left speaker didn’t work and the right speaker is tinny and cheap sounding. There are only 4 pin connectors when they should be six. No bass in the set up. Just really badly sounding treble. The screw drivers supplied also were not as pictured. Cheap plastic and soft metal. They just failed half way through the install. Total waste of time and money.
