My son had been wanting to try a fairly heavy 18-25 lb) weighted blanket. So, the hunt was on. I had two primary concerns:1). The outer material, it’s softness & how it felt against his skin (both of my kids are very tactile!).2). The inner weighted material was also a consideration as I preferred glass beads on the inside and smaller sectioned pockets where they are placed. This makes for an even distribution of the beads, therefore: the weight.••THIS BLANKET FIT MY CRITERIA PLUS, IT HAD GREAT REVIEWS!! It looks very nice on his bed and has no off-putting smell.One small drawback; It’s very heavy so I must take it to a laundromat and use a 4-6 load washing machine just to launder it, strictly due to its weight, esp when it’s wet!! It gets heavy enough that it would likely go off balance or overload even the best non-commercial front / top loaders at home. This is my third weighted blanket. The last one I bought I ended up donating because the side that was supposed to be “fuzzy” ended up a matted mess. Lint and dog hair embedded in it and I ended up hating it. After two washes, it was essentially ruined. So I bought this replacement and when I say I could not be happier, I mean it. The minky texture is silky and stays cool without ever getting too hot. You can shake pet hair off of it. It’s incredibly soft. But more importantly, the weight distribution is the absolute best. It’s heavy without making you feel weighed down, if that makes sense. And it holds up beautifully after washing and drying it. I honestly can’t sleep without it now. Highly recommend. If you’re on the fence, get it. You won’t regret it!

If you've never used a weighted blanket before, and you're intrigued by the concept, this blanket is a solid choice.Basically, humans have a subconscious need to be "held" while sleeping. This comes from the way we were handled when we were babies by our mothers. It provides a sense of being safe, allowing us to relax deeply to get the solid recuperative sleep we were meant to receive.This blanket will do just that. I use a smartwatch, and my sleep quality went immediately up, from a routine score between 65 to 75, all the way up to 85. No other changes were made, and my REM sleep duration also increased.Make sure your bedroom is as dark as possible, and keep your window open to receive a never ending supply of fresh air. If you do that, combined with this blanket, you will sleep like a bear during hibernation. I have no way to know for sure, but I feel like I also have less anxiety during the day. It might be attributed to this blanket.As far as the blanket itself, it's comfortable and heavy.5/5 Stars.

I've been waking in the middle of the night and tried so many things to help me sleep through the night. I'd wake up at 12AM, 2AM or 3AM and have trouble falling back to sleep. I slept in 4 hour increments on my "lucky" nights. In my first night with this blanket, I woke up as I normally do, but fell back to sleep quickly. When I woke up, I felt more refreshed. I hope as I continue to use this blanket I'll eliminate the middle of the night wakeup completely. Worth every penny instead of taking pills or going to more extreme measures for a sleep. Now, getting the duvet cover. I bought the 15 lb blanket and I'm 142 lbs. I thought I could have gone heavier to 17 or even 20 lbs, but happy with my purchase.

Actually very heavy

The twin size is the exact right weight. Washes and dries so well. The full size may be too heavy for a home washing machine.One will get the most comfort that can be found in a blanket. I have given a couple as gifts and the recipients are amazed at how much better they sleep.

My wife bought this for birthday. 10% for a 270# guy was just stupid. We went with a 12 #. I love it. Not too hot. It minimizes restless legs and tossing to get comfortable. Usually asleep in less than 10 minutes and sleep thru the night unless the damn dogs wake me up.

My daughter is scared of storms. I love that this blanket comes in pretty colors. She loves to use this blanket and even sleeps with it on some nights. Perfect size. Almost like a throw blanket size.

Super happy with this weighted blanket as it is not as heavy as some others. Nice cotton feel fabric and the grey is very modern looking.

I am an anxious sleeper and decided to try a weighted blanket. I am thrilled with this particular blanket. The fact that it is a soft natural cotton is a huge plus. It not only feels secure and cozy, it looks lovely. I bought the pink one and enjoy the colour as well as the weight. I notice I am tossing less in my sleep, which is a huge bonus for anyone who is not a deep sleeper. Thank you for this product!

Nice and snug

As far a quality, the blanket it very well made. The bead seem to stay in place. Fabric is soft. No strong smeel when unpacking. I really thought I would love it... been wanting one for so long... but even getting the 10 pound one... i couldn't sleep... to heavy on my legs, I couldn't move easily. Try it for 3 nights just to give it a chance... one night even only placing it only on the top of my body but didn't sleep well. Felt more like a work out every time I wanted to move of switch sides. One thing I did notice is that even if I placed over my duvet I was not hot... so it is very breathable. It was just not for me.
