Very nice razor. Replacing my old one that the screen wore out on. I really like the tilting head. Good shave. About the third or fourth Remington I've bought over the years.

I had been using the Remington F2 or F3 for many years. I did not think that a cheap electric razor like the F2 and F3 would be much different than a more expensive one. I decided to splurge for a little nicer shaver to see if it was any better than the cheaper ones. I did research between the Braun Series 3 at $60.00 and the Remington PF 7400 at $40.00. I decided on the Remington since both the Remington and Braun had good ratings, and the Remington's sideburn trimmer might be a little easier to use, was less expensive, and might not need a head and blade replacement as often. I am very impressed with how much closer and quicker it shaves and it cuts the hair laying flat on the neck. This is a very nice electric razor, much better than the F2 and F3. The first charge lasted about 2 weeks.

The F4 is a nice design and an improvement on the older design twin foil. I can't get new foils and blades for my old twin foil, so I got this at a good price, cheaper than one foil and blade used to cost.I tried this because it's an updated twin foil, but with a stub cutter between the foils. It works well and I recommend it.The usb charging cable seems silly because who has a usb outlet in their bathroom? Minus one star for that charger.The caps are difficult to remove, unlike the old twin foil.A new F4 is the same cost as foils and blades, so I'll just get another one when the foils wear out.Oh yeah, it takes a few shaves to "break in" the blades and foils. After that, the razor gives a decent shave, not like a razor, but acceptable.

I bought this model to replace my 11-year-old Remington Model F4790. My old Remington has served me well and frankly still works - the battery doesn’t hold a charge anymore, but I’ve been using it as a corded shaver just fine. I’ve replaced countless screens and blades and have been quite happy. It was time to replace the foil screen again and I just decided to replace the whole thing. I selected PF7400 as the nearest replacement. The shaver is lighter despite being a little larger. The shave head is different and it does a nice comfortable job shaving. My older F4790 had a movable head, and the new PF7400 does too. They both have trimmers on the back, and those trimmers are adequate but nothing special. I do have a two gripes with the new shaver that may be a deal-breaker:1) The new Remington PF7400 will ONLY operate on the charged battery. If the battery is low or dead, you can’t plug the shaver in to use it. The plug is for charging ONLY. So, if this thing activates in your luggage on an airplane and is dead when you get to your destination you’ve a got a 16-24 hour charge to accomplish before you can use it. Better have a razor handy. My older Remington F4790 could have just plugged in while in use, then continue to charge. Bad design, moving backwards in technology - in my opinion. 2) The cord sucks compared to my older Remington model F4790. It’s a cheesy thin charger cord on the end of a tiny adapter. It’s a wadded-up mess when you receive it new, and that’s probably not going to improve with age. Whereas my older Remington F4790 had a nice coiled charger cord that has still kept it’s shape 11 years later. I can recommend it for a fairly close comfortable shave, but I knock 2-stars off of it because the technology has regressed, not improved, over older models.

Yes, I'm a shaving addict. I shaved my face in my head on a daily basis. I have gone back and forth over the decades using blades, and electric shavers. This Remington shaver is very very good. The only electric shaver that I've used that provided a closer shave is my Andis face shaver. I use this shaver on my face and on my head as a change of pace shaver and I really enjoy using it. It's an outstanding value as far as cost to performance.

I have been buying Remington razors for at least 20 years and never had a problem, but this razors pulls like there is a hole in the foil but if there is one there I can’t find it. It’s a model F4 and I have only been using it a few months. I bought it in October but didn’t start using it until January. It’s had this problem from the beginning. I do not recommend this razor
