I had been looking at a bunch of different knifes trying to measure out which would be a good fit for me
Well made all around. I had been looking at a bunch of different knifes trying to measure out which would be a good fit for me. For me personally I like to research a lot before buying something. I checked out a lot of different reviews and lists of the best knifes and the different types of knifes. While looking at the lists I would also price out the different listed options and see what I thought of the knifes that they suggested. I had been checking amazon on and off for a little bit to try to see what they sold and the price points for the knifes I was looking at. I heard about the Schrade series on some of the lists that I had been looking over and started checking the brand out. The brand had some promising knifes and I was intrigued by the M.A.G.I.C. assisted opening system. After making note of a few of Schrade's knifes as well as some others I saw that this knifes was on sale as well, so I bought it.I think this was a really great purchase, I got it and was excited to open it. I came in a small box just big enough for the knife and some other packaging materials, a bag the knife was in and some "directions"/ caution materials. The paper work gave advice on maintenance of the blade and how to preserve it and prolong the life of the knife.Overall the knife fit what I was looking for, an assisted opening knife that fit into the State Laws. It has 2 ways to engage the assisted opening, one is a thumb knob on the edge of the blade, it can be engaged on either side. The second way is what is called a "flipper", this is a push knob on the opposite side of the handle where the blade is held. Either one of these ways to open can be engaged with one hand, the first way I talked about can be opened with how you would end up holding the knife with the blade out, the second way can be held on either side while you push the flipper in and the assisted action takes over with just a little pressure. Both ways are easy to open, with just a little pressure on either way of opening and the assisted action takes over and the blade releases and springs out. There is also a safety feature on the knife too. It can locked the blade in the closed or open position.Out of the box it is sharp and sleek. It is really sharp, could cut easily anything right out of the box, cut through an envelope easily when I was testing it. Really smooth opening and safe with the safety switch. Has a belt clip, it is tight and can hook it to your belt, pocket or anything pretty solidly. Comes in under the 3" inch mark for the Laws calling for that length. Also, comes with different blade types, I got the partially serrated tango blade.Overall, I really think this is a good knife. I was showing this to some friends and they wanted me to forward them the link to the knife so they could get one for the work, they said especially because of the one-handed action on it. It can be a good self-defense knife to carry or a work knife to have.

Great sturdy knife
This is a review on the Schrade SCHA3BS...This little knife is incredible....i love schrade quality...its a bit more on the expensive side, but Schrade is a quality knife....i really like how small it is...its big enough to use as your EDC and small enough to put in your pocket and not feel heavy (make sure to lock blade b4 u put in ur pocket)...Very sturdy...well built...the assisted open is incredibly fast and smooth...super sharp out of the box...the belt clip is a little too tight...but with this knife u wont need to use it...if you buy this u will not be disappointed...Hope this helps someone.Have a Blessed Day

Great little knife.
I was looking around for another small pocket knife of which I have many, I have GERBERS, SCHRADES, LEATHERMEN and a few others. Most are pocket but some are of a combat and heavy tactical type. I have two trigger types and after watching the videos on this item I decided to get one. I like it very much, It feels good in my hand Ergonomically, Grip and feel is good. The blade from the last serration is about 3 1/4 inches. The lock is placed in a good spot unlike my KERSHAW which is in the rear of the handle and has broken many times, However the pieces needed to fix it {plastic} have been sent to me by them twice so their customer service is very good. NOW THAT'S THE KERSHAW Flip out blade type knife I got through SNAP-ON TOOLS One day. it was like 60.00 dollars. OK Back to the new SHRADE, The lock like I said is in a great position and easy to unlock, The flip out button is located on the very top and is also easy to access. It also has a flat removable square push type opener on the top of the blade itself. So basically where your thumb will be when unlocking the knife you can use same to open or your index finger on the top. Over all so far it's a nice piece and I like it, OH the pants or belt tang is placed so when you put it in your pocket it hardly shows at all. very concealable. The one thing, They do not come sharpened I guess for safety reasons. So I had to sharpen it and still have a way to go with the type of sharpener I have, ANY ONE OUT THERE WHO HAS A BETTER MOUSE TRAP THEN TAKING IT TO SOMEONE WITH A SANDBELT SHARPENER LET ME KNOW. Thanks. [...]

Nice knife
So far this knife has been good to me. It feels good in the hand and is a decent size. The paint on the blade has a chip in it already and I've barely used it. Other than that I haven't found any faults with this knife. It has a safety, which is something I've never seen before but I'm sure it's more common than I'm aware of. The release latch is very sensitive, which could be good and bad. Good if you're in a situation you need the blade in a hurry. Bad because the latch got stuck on my pocket while pulling the knife out and the blade flew open while still in the pocket.

Great knife!
Had mine for 2 years, absolutely love it! As you can see in the pictures my knife has been abused and used beyond belief, the knife is very sturdy and the clip is awesome! Easily able to remove with one hand, not sure what that other user was talking about! The assist switch is very good and the spring is strong, just make sure to take your knife apart and properly clean it and lube it, noticed the safety switch gets a little stuck if not maintained but that doesnt go without saying this knife is a good one. I have yet to have it chip on me or show signs of cracking, and its easily able to be resharpened as I have resharpened this many times. I wish they made this knife with a carbon steel blade!

Benchmade went missing, shopped around....
I like quality, not afraid to spend some $$, but when my Benchmade went missing I didn't want to drop $200 bucks. I am thrilled with this knife! Heavy, solid, good feel, great flip assist and secondary lock so it doesn't open in your pocket. wasn't super sharp, but easily sharpened. Very happy!
