Haworth - not all about the Brontë's
Excellent summary of Haworth in the eighteen/nineteenth century. Planty of photgraphs and refereneces to the village today. Even found a chapter about my Gt (x4) grandfather who I had struggled to identify properly from genealogy records.

Disappointing book as mainly covers very recent history.
Only really covers very recent history, mainly the 20th Century, would have liked to have seen more information from the 19th and 18th century included.

Excellent book on the history of a village
I really like this book, lots of photos, and information on the village of Haworth in West Yorkshire. Its not just known for the famous writers, the Brontes, but for a number of other things too.Chapters covering Inns and Pubs, Houses, Farming, the Brontes of course(!)and many more all club together to make an exciting package.Do buy if a Bronte fan to know about there homeplace and if interested in topography of English villages from 17/1800s onwards.

Great Haworth resource.
Having discovered that my descendants, the Greenwood and Redman families, well known by the Bronte family, lived in Haworth for nearly two centuries, this was the perfect history of the village, giving me great insight into the work they were involved in.

Well Done
An excellent, brief pictorial history of Haworth, Yorkshire England ... the village made famous by the Bronte family. There is something about Haworth. I wonder if some hidden henge circle is buried under the parsonage site? It seems magical ...in that it made the Brontes and then they made Haworth... Of course there more to Haworth than the Brontes. ...fascinating history and wonderful photos
