Hot chocolate superfood has great flavor, and I really enjoy a cup in the afternoon. Yes it's expensive but I think for the quality of it it's worth it.

I haven’t had hot cocoa in years because of the artificial ingredients and sugar overload in most conventional mixes. So when I stumbled across this brand, I was skeptical — but I’m so glad I gave it a try! :-D This mushroom-based cocoa is rich, smooth, and surprisingly delicious. I mix mine with almond milk using a frother and sometimes top it with a sprinkle of cinnamon. It feels like a cozy, comforting treat without the guilt. Even better, it leaves me feeling calm and relaxed, making it perfect for winding down in the evening. The ingredients are clean, and I really appreciate the inclusion of functional mushrooms, which offer wellness benefits like immune and mood support. Except for the amount of mixture that stays on the bottom even after thorough stirring this hot cocoa is really good!

I’ve tried a couple brands of functional mushroom hot chocolate & I like this one the best. I first tried it as an afternoon snack to ward off hunger & be healthy, I soon discovered that I got better sleep without drowsiness! Bonus! The reasons that it’s my favorite of the brands that I’ve tried is because the quality is as good as the more expensive, the taste is every bit as good, and the price is by far the best!

Taste is good and is good for breakfast.

I wanted to try this on the recommendation of a friend for the sake of researching mushroom/chocolate combinations. If you are going to write about something, it's best to try it first-hand when you can. This product makes a very nice hot chocolate. With water, it was a little harsh. You can taste the earthy notes of the mushrooms against the chocolate, but with chocolate being naturally bitter it isn't unpleasant. When milk/cream is added, it mellows out quite well. The problem with this blend came later on in the form of heartburn/acid production. I can't say if it is the mushrooms or the OTHER additive at the bottom of the list that is something wholly unfamiliar to our area. Whatever it is, everyone who tasted it reported an upset stomach later to some degree. Would recommend an antacid be taken in advance if you want to use this. Again, the flavor of the drink is good. Perhaps if we were drinking it regularly we'd become more adapted to it, but the first time was a little rough. Will be trying another variety with just the reishi as it is hard to isolate which item caused the difficulty with a multi-mushroom, chocolate, and other fruit/plant blend.

I never in a million years thought I'd be as in love with mushrooms as I've become :) I took a chance on a packet of this at my local health shop. I fell in love with it but was disgusted w/the price they were charging. $1.99 a packet and if you by 6 then you get 10% off (which really isn't great) the large container like this one that they carry. Costs about $35. So, I went to hunting. Only other place I could find this was Whole Foods which....are insane on costs as it is but... the mark up difference even from my health store was total insanity. For the packets they were $2.30 and the container like this was $39.00. So, I pulled up Amazon. Ok check...2 day delivery. And for this price!! How could I NOT order it lol... So now, there's that rant out of the way and many thanks to Amazon for offering this product at such an amazing price!! The taste is wonderful. I like drinking it of a morning. I haven't ever really been a coffee drinker. I drank it to help wake me up many years ago but always hated it and used way more sugar and creamer than I had of the coffee LOL but this, doesn't need anything. I just use a tbsp and my unsweetened almond milk and I'm good to go! I use about a cup/half of milk with the 1 tbsp of powder and it's perfect. This has become a morning ritual of mine and I hate it if I run out. It helps me function and my memory is absolutely a 100 times better as is my focus. I can make it through the day without forgetting what I'm supposed to be doing and have energy to do the things I need to do. The only complaint I have... is when I decide to do something. I try doing it all of the way. I've decided to start digging more into mushrooms for their healing properties and therefore that means finding the best and purest. Unfortunately that comes w/dropping many things like rice/oats/mycelium and natural flavors. Which I noticed, natural flavoring is used in this. I'd love to see them drop that and get rid of it as we all know, 'natural flavoring' has nothing to do with the flavor of anything that's natural. Otherwise, I think this is an amazing product and will continue to use until I find something that doesn't have the flavoring enhancer. Because I truly do love and adore this product!!!
