A Wonderful Book for Any Horse Lover
This book was truly a delight to read and so educational. If you are interested in learning more about owning or riding a horse or just plain love horses, this book is for you. This book is so clearly written and well organized that any child who reads it will obtain a basic knowledge of horsemanship. As someone who owns a horse and loves to ride, even I learned as I read this book. This book is a great start for anyone on their journey with horses as well as those who've already decided to make horses part of their life.

If you are a lover of animals especially horses this book is for you
My granddaughter has loved horses from the day she could speak. Every time she has to read a book for school write a report or draw a picture it is something to deal with horses. my granddaughter knew a lot about what was in the book but the pictures how to speak to a horse the bones in the horses foot how to groom the tail the bridal this saddle the bit she was so enticed with this book she carries it in her book bag to and from school and she reads it every other night or at least has it out looking at it. She is going for her first riding last scene at the end of March as a belated birthday present she said she will know a lot more but also is excited to ask questions from the book to the horseman at the equestrian center where she’s going. If you have an animal lover or horse lover in your family I highly recommend this book the pictures the illustrations are very very well done and it is on a child’s level.I received this from a publisher I was not asked to give a review but considering the exposure it has given to my granddaughter and has enticed her to read more and more I am giving this a triple a thumbs up.

Ultimate Horse Lover Book
Robyn Smith’s Book Horse Life is absolutely amazing! This is a must have for any horse lover you know. I was totally impressed with the amount of information that is in this book. You can tell that Robyn truly loves these animals and knows them inside and out.Chapter 1 is all about the growth cycle of a horse and what they’re called during each cycle. She lists anatomy and horse talk, which is actually the body language of a horse. This is incredibly important because when you’re in a stall with a horse you need to understand what they’re telling you. Chapter 2 is called the perfect horse for you and explains the measurements of a horse the types of horses and has drawn pictures of the different types of horses. She explains the colors and markings of horses as well in this chapter.Chapter 3 lists the gear and gaits of horses.Chapter 4 lists safety skills, spaces and handling and rope basics. In the spaces and handling for example she explains a blind spot on a horse and the importance of being aware of it. Chapter 5 is called eating like a horse. She covers everything from water, hay and grain to vitamins and minerals that your horse will need. Chapter 6 is about stable life, she goes over pasture panning in a horse, stalls and stables.Chapter 7 is the grooming guide chapter where she goes of her tools, the names and types of mane care, tails, and clipping a horse. She has pictures of the manes and tails included. Chapter 8 is called healthy and happy. Here Robyn goes over a horse’s daily needs. She goes over hoof care, dental care, pest control, vaccines and common problems. The last chapter she goes over the different types of sports/showing/jumping/events that horses can be used in. There is a glossary and resource page that has books and websites that can be used to further study about horses. I was given a book by the publisher to review. I am under no obligation to leave a review but I have because I thought this book was quite incredible with the amount of information that itbcontains. The author’s love for horses shines through as she shares her knowledge.

Let's ride
Okay, so one day we and our kids will again be hanging out at stables and enjoying all that riding has to offer. Until then, enjoy time with this book and prepare for that time. This title is encyclopedic in nature. Chapters include Horse Life, The Perfect Horse-For You!, Ready to Ride, Safety Skills, Eating Like a Horse, Stable Life, Grooming Guide, Healthy and Happy, Sports, Shows and FUN! with additional sections on routines, a glossary, resources and references. Definitely a title that a young rider (ages 8 to 12 on average) will enjoy.Readers will learn about the horse's life cycle, how horses communicate, the different breeds and coat colors, tips for riding and so, so much more. Find out about riding gear for both the horse and rider. Know a horse's gaits from walk to gallop. Know how to groom your equine buddy. I could go on and review everything in the book but will leave some for readers to discover and enjoy. The author knows her stuff. She has been in love with horses since the age of three. Now, she has more than 45 years of experience in the world of horses. The text is clear and is accompanied by appealing illustrations. I very highly recommend this title for budding equestriennes. They will learn so much, will enjoy going through the book and will soon be asking their favorite adults to get them a horse! Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title in exchange for an honest review.
