Sharing Time (Toddler Tools® Board Books) Review: Get it! - We love this book! Buy it! Great for helping toddlers learn to share. Review: Happy! - I purchased this book because we are currently having sharing issues in our house. I've figured out that forcing someone to share something only causes resentment and I wanted some ideas on solutions. I wish I could've reviewed more of the book where it says 'Click to look inside' prior to purchasing just to have a better idea of what this book would discuss. However, I'm very pleased with it! It discusses: Things you can share. For example smiles, laughs, and hugs. Things that are hard to share, toys. The Use sharing words like May I play with that? or Can I have a turn? How sometimes a child will hear no and solutions. You can play together, take turns with a timer, or put the toy away for later. I know how much my son loves the option of choosing so I love all three of those. I usually just put the toy in "time-out'" but maybe with the other two options thrown out there as well my son will more than likely choose the first two. HOPING! Also, feelings regarding when someone shares or does not. Helps a Toddler realize and put emotions to what they're feeling. In the back there's also sharing tips for parents and care givers that is really helpful and encouraging. I really think this book will help tremendously and I can't wait to use it as a teaching tool. I want to purchase all the other ones now as well!

Excellent Book - Teaches Good Lessons
I was given this as a gift, and then have since gifted it to friends with small kids. I love how it is a quick read, straight to the point, but really drives home the point of sharing. My daughter really enjoys books and when we are talking about sharing she will often repeat the phrase "Sharing is kind and Caring" which I think is a nice message. I have a few other manners/emotions books from this group and they are all really nice. Plus the kids LOVE to read them, they pick them out on their own so that is nice as well. Also recommend "On the Go Time".

nice book - but sharing ALL the time? really?
My 3 year old really likes this book as something he can relate to. My only complaint is that its not realistic to expect children to share all the time - adults don't! It would have been nice to include a scenario where a child has a new toy or something that is important to him/her and its okay not to share that. Setting our children up with the expectation that they can have anything that another child has is going to lead to some meltdowns.

Bought the series!
These books are perfect for young children and toddlers! They're in simple and clear language that kids can relate to an understand. Loved it so much I bought the series. I just wish they came in a discounted set! Great value. After a few days I started using quotes from the book and he responded very well. I even gave these books to his daycare to help with him and his classmates. I also purchased more from the series.

Great book...it makes my daughter think!
I bought this book for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She is well behaved; but like most toddlers, she sometimes has trouble sharing toys or things that she thinks is hers (e.g., swings, slides at the park). When I bought the book, I didn't expect much; but I've been plesantly surprised. The first time we read it, she took it and studied it. I pointed out the children that are happy and unhappy. The page that she keeps coming back to includes two children fighting, "She might take it." "He might break it." "Mine, mine, mine." She frowns at that page and tells me the children are sad. Now, when she has a conflict with another child (or her parents), I just remind her of the Sharing Time book. She gets a thoughtful face and then usually shares. This book seems to have helped my daughter develop more empathy for others. Thanks! Now, I'm looking for a trick to get her to eat vegetables!

Great book!
Great story and messaging for Littles just learning about sharing. My son loves it, and requests we read it at least a couple of times per week.

This book does actually work and I was shocked when I heard children quoting from the book, "Sharing is caring!". A must for any Nursery.

We love love LOVE this book. It's so great for teaching my little one to start sharing. He's still a bit young to actually understand what sharing is, but he imitates sharing all the time. We have lots of fun reading this book. He answers the sharing questions - it's so cute!

A surprise hit! Our 2 year old actually loves this book, which I didn't expect! She really likes pointing out which kids are happy/sad & why... The book spells out the different ways to share and how to handle it when others don't share... Been an excellent tool for teaching out toddler how to share and what to do when her baby sister steals her toys (put hand up and ask for help!)! Brilliant!

What a small book that little kids can hold and not rip a page. in a simple way explains why we share things and what to do if we don't want to. I have this book for my 4-year-old and 2 year old and they both seem to understand it.
