Excellent for learning
I bought a different version for my 3 yr old and purchased this one for a 4 yr old starting Pre-K. My 3 yr old loves her one but it can be hard to get the pen right on the dot. It's great for carrying around and I love the spiral bound book to keep it flat

Cool educational toy!!
This is a really unique educational toy. The first time she played, I set my 4 year-old up at the table and walked her through a card or two. Then she was able to work independently on several cards. We are reinforcing the upper- and lower-case pairs, and this toy is great for that. It’s also great for her to practice sight words. I was pleasantly surprised at how my 2 year-old was also very interested and can work the pen (shapes and colors cards) on her own. I sit with my 2 year-old to explain what she needs to do, but she can work the pen and she loves that. I think this is great supplement to preschool learning time. Since I’m homeschooling this year, this is perfect. I’ve also brought it in the car for some learning on the go.

Learning
I love this learning tool for my preschooler. He loves the dog pencil and the noises it makes. It has a great variety of questions to help build his learning over time. I only wish it came with some way to better store it after you open the box.

Fun and Educational Interactive Activities during COVID-19
This is a fantastic learning tool for preschoolers. My 4 year old, who went to daycare on a daily basis before COVID-19, has now been home for the past few months. This is a great addition to the home schooling she's been doing. She loves the interactive dog pen and feels so proud each time she gets the correct answers. I love that this consists of individual cards, instead of a booklet. My 2 year old also wants to get involved, so the different cards allow them to do the activities simultaneously. I did order an extra pen so it worked out perfectly - no fighting! My 4 year old is able to do most of the letters, numbers, and colors on her own. My 2 year old needs more guidance but she's happy to be able to use the pen because it feels like a game to her. Overall, I'm happy that this educational toy has allowed my children to stay away from screen time and have fun while learning.

Quality packaging for long term storage, helpful tool to get kids ready for school.
These look amazing. The box that it arrived in is very sturdy and will work well to continue to store the pen and included activities. The flashcards are a little flimsy but should work perfectly with supervision. The box included a parents lesson guide to help guide you through teaching your child. It has tons of activity ideas that go along with what they learn from the flashcards. My daughter (3) loves learning activities and loved looking through the flashcards and figuring out the answers. She still has a little trouble remembering to push the actual black dot, but she is still a little young. My 5 year old son figured it out and remembers without trouble. I am very pleased with this purchase and plan to recommend this product, and other products by the brand, to all who will listen.

Great for interactive learning!
This is a fun and interactive way for kids to learn. My 3 yo son went to daycare but because of Covid is now at home. It's a perfect tool for at home learning. He loves the dog pen, it provides instant feedback for him when the pen lights up and speaks. There is also a nice range of content. My 2 yo also dabs into the easier pages. Highly recommend this for preschoolers!

Great aides but Wrong Device
This product is a fantastic idea. My 3 year old knows a lot and is very independent. This program allowed for him to be independent but the Ace pen is not consistent in working. It is supposed to light up red and tell you when the answer is incorrect. Likewise when the answer given is right it will tell you and light up green. Unfortunately the pen tends to light up red all the time and tell you that you are wrong. Since my 3 year old is new to learning letters, numbers, colors, and shapes I will have to continue teaching him without this device so he is not repeatedly being told he is wrong. :-(
