AphogeeIntensive 2 Minute Keratin Reconstructor (16 OZ)

I have 3c/4a hair, been using this product for a couple years now. I've been natural for about 7 years but never did protein treatments, and then wondered why I kept getting so many split ends and breakage -___-. I used conditioning products all the time, but my hair wasn't retaining any type of moisturizer - even water took a few minutes to really get through my hair shafts! It was so bad. Once I figured out the importance of protein treatments, I knew I would need something quick that I can incorporate easily into my weekly washing routine, because I have neither the patience or the time to regularly do a whole separate protein treatment routine in addition to washing. I browsed all the protein treatment products at my local Sally's and decided to give this a shot first because it was the quickest to use lol.Well this product most certainly fit the bill! Not only do I have less problems with split ends, my hair retains moisture so much better and my corkscrew coils are so well defined after ^_^! I end up using less product for conditioning/moisturizing and my hair is overall more manageable. The moisture retention benefit sticks for two weeks without another treatment, but I do it weekly to keep up definition and reduce frizz.I noticed a couple reviews saying that this stuff made their hair stiff or break off, which was a little bothersome. This is a PROTEIN treatment product, not a conditioner, not a shampoo. It is not designed to take the place of either of these, and it will make your hair stiff - that's what protein does. If you don't moisturize/condition your hair after using this, your hair will be dry and more prone to breakage than usual. So use the product as instructed and hydrate and condition your hair immediately after! I love this stuff, it's done wonders for the manageability and texture of my hair. I It's affordable, easy to use, and I recommend it to anyone with type 4 hair.

I’ve used this three times on my hair now, I have keratin treated hair and my keratin treatment is wearing off haven’t been able to get it redone because of corona virus. The reconstructor is Sulfate free paraben free and sodium chloride free. So it is keratin Treated hair approved. After applying I did notice my hair feel stringer and thicker as well as shiner however it made my hair more curly then before so it will enhance your natural texture. I prefer my hair straight but this treatment is good for repairing any damage.As for the time left in I notice that it works well on 5mins-10 mins in hair. Be sure to wash your hair with a sulfate shampoo before applying so you can open the hair cuticle and absorb the product better.Overall I like this product, my hair feels like it really does absorb the protein, definetly a gentle protein treatment but be sure to deep condition after since the protein doesn’t moisturize that well. Overall, this product is good for rebuilding proteins into the hair and providing strength for hair.

So I've been using this product for about a year now on and off and after using it today I thought it was time to write a review.I have thin hair, but a lot of it and it has a natural kink/curl to it. Taking a stab at guessing my curl type, I'd say it's 2b - so it's manageable but frizzes easily. I had been using it about twice a week or less until about June of this year because I found other products I thought would work better and I also felt that my hair wasn't curling as much as I would like. So I left my bottle of ApHogee in the shower to sit until today.When I'm not using the product, my hair when I blow dry it has a bunch of little hairs standing up (frizz) and is very poofy and curls slightly - even when blow drying with a flat brush. When using the product, my hair when I blow dry doesn't have the little hairs standing up, is a bit less poofy and sits straighter. it helps stay less frizzy/curly when it's humid outside too. Even when visiting Florida in April of this year I found my hair didn't frizz and curl as much in all of the humidity as it usually did.I found it was harder to curl my hair when I was using it (I don't know if anyone else experienced this) but found that my hair felt smoother and somewhat healthier.I'd say follow the directions and what some people have said in other reviews where you don't use the product more than what is recommended. The effects of the product last for a bit so you don't need to use it everyday. How I use it is I shampoo, rinse, put in the ApHogee for about 2-3 minutes, rinse, then conditioner for good measure (my hair is dry from styling - I know, I'm bad).Hope this helps! I'd recommend it.

I learned not to use too much when applying. A little goes a long way. When done right I noticed my hair is stronger and breakage is almost gone.

I first learned about it from another customer at Sally’s and I’ve been using the brand for years now.Great for dry, split, damaged and color treated hair. It’s works very well on my dry coarse hair. The product penetration into the hair shaft is great. Softens hair !
