kinda of tight but pretty good
i use these for work since i’m standing most of the day and my feet would hurt after an 8 hour shift. after wearing them, they’ve definitely helped my ankles stop swelling, and my feet don’t hurt anymore. they are pretty tight and can be a struggle to put on but they’re worth it

tldr: Firm, smooth, durable, premium, invisible, and good fit!
Whoa!!! These socks are definitively more premium than the other "look-alike", seamless alternatives I purchased alongside them (SLS3, CelerSport), I was SURE I was just going to be duplicating myself with this purchase, but not so! Though similarly constructed and cut, the other brands were so thin that they ran at first wear. The Sparthos socks, on the other hand, are thick and firm, and stay consistently opaque and firm throughout, even when fully stretched (yes, you can see the space BETWEEN the knitting, but no skin shows through). Though thick, they are not bulky (like the sports-grade Gmark socks I like to wear when I want that fuzzy terry-cloth texture), rather, their tight knit keeps them super smooth. They still have a little extra cushion in the heel and bottom of the foot, which adds a nice feeling of soft "bounce" to the touch. I am 5'7", and wear a women's size 8.5-9 shoe, so I ordered the L/XL, as it was the smallest size available. There is a little more space between toe and heel than I would like, but nothing that couldn't be remediated by simply not pulling them as tight over my foot as they might go. The length here is also generous, as, even though they are firm and not super stretchy, I has no struggles or wrestling matches trying to pull them up over my knee to fall right in the thigh gap--just the perfect spot to prevent rolling (though at times when I don't want knee coverage, their lack of bulk allows me to fold them down over the calf without any uncomfortable or overly-conspicuous ridges). All-in-all, these are a fantastic pair of go-to socks for those medium compression days. I'm wearing them under stretch leggings, and even though there is a bit of heft to them, the slimming effect of the compression cancels this out, making them virtually invisible (minus the pink sticking out at my ankles!). I thought for sure at this price, I'd be kicking myself for buying these when I have so many others, but given the fact that they hold up where others (SLS3, CelerSport, CharmKing) failed, I now think these were the best money spent. I even rank them above my FAR more expensive Sigvarus for thickness, firmness, plush "bounce" at the heel/foot, and generosity of length (the Sigvarus DEFINITELY stop right under the knee!). I place them as equal, but different favorites with my Gmark socks, on account of their substantively different, but desirable qualities (compression-level, fit, texture, length). I hope this review helps, I wish you happiness, comfort, and good health! :)

Sizing is difficult, but the socks are very effective.
I like these socks very much, even though they don't quite fit. The socks are sized for both males and females and so the foot seems a little long (I've tried only the Small size), so there bits of folded sock bunch up a little under foot. The fit from ankle up is good, so the compression is really excellent. I got these because I have bad varicose veins and the socks are very effective in keeping the blood moving up my legs. I know it's probably difficult to produce sizes that fit everybody without having a dozen or so combinations. I got only one pair of these to try them out, and I'll probably get some more. I tried one pair of another brand for comparison, and that foot is also longish.

I think I was sent a smaller size than I ordered?
This product is imbued with the appearance of being of "high quality." The design is impressive, the material itself looks/feels "right," and although I had such difficulty getting them on the first time, I never imagined my first use was also going to be my last. After struggling to get them on, I was loath to take them off, and wore them continually for about 2-1/2 days before I became worried about considerable pain in my lower legs. I sensed it was time to take them off, wash them, and hope my initial attempt to wear them had somehow stretched them out to make them a better fit. But the washing only seemed to make them much smaller. and my swollen legs were obviously not going to be able to accommodate my "XL-size" compression sock. This was a very disappointing outcome. A team of doctors is trying to give my condition a cause and reveal a treatment, but all the tests they've run to date have revealed nothing. I personally have no bones in my two little toes (removed by an orthopedic surgeon to fix shoe pain some 30 years ago) which does cause quite a problem getting leg compression products on my feet. but it's usually not insurmountable...until now. *On a lighter note, this vendor offered me a selection of a "thank you" gift for purchasing their product, and the item I chose (a small flashlight with spectacular illumination capability) is much loved and deeply appreciated! I only wish my personal experience with their product had been a better one. I may try to order their largest size product again once I get past my current, rather serious, leg swelling issue. I do honestly believe I must not have received an actual XL size product.
