I have purchased this product for three of my cars now. And it is excellent.I had started with a different product for my Subaru and it didn't match. I then tried this and it was a perfect match. After the Subaru, I purchased this brand for a Mercedes Benz and a Honda. Both were excellent matches.The clearcoat is needed for the metallic finishes. The other, flat finishes look good without but are probably better protected with the clearcoat.Always use the color code on the car to ensure you are getting the correct color. The code is on some label somewhere on your car... search the web to see where it is for you.The application of the paint is the same as any other paint. Along with the paint, this product provides a multitude of different applicators... I haven't used them all... the ones I did use were fine.Pay attention to what you buy... some kits have paint and clearcoat... you can get just the paint and other kits have lots of other stuff that I found I didn't need. I purchased the paint and clearcoat the first time and I only needed the paint for subsequent purchases... there was more than enough clearcoat in the first shipment.I recommend this product.

This is a pricey paint kit, but well worth the money spent. The kit comes with a bottle of paint, bottle of clear coat, some latex gloves, and several different brush types. The paint itself (I got the Palladium Silver) is an exact match for the paint on the car. It went on great and covered a good sized ding perfectly. They recommend 15 min between coats - that might be if you are in a warmer environment. I found that letting it cure overnight between coats worked better (painting it too soon screws up the previous coat - I learned the hard way and had to start over). The paint look great without the clear coat, but I went ahead and put that on anyway.

granted it was a deep (bumper) scratch, I bought the full set with the primer, I followed the instruction and every time I try to polish the edges of the base coat before applying the clear coat, the polish takes away the bas coat, I let it dry for an hour (instruction says 30 mins) and it wouldn't harden enough to be polished without completely peeling off , this water base does not work for me.

Followed the instructions to a Tee and all was going well until I put on the Clearcoat. The instructions say to wait 30 minutes after painting to apply the clearcoat which I did but the paint was not truly dry after 30 minutes so it started to smear and streak which means re-painting the spot which makes it thick and globby. End result was better than the black scratches but not as good as if the instructions had said to wait 60 minutes rather than 30 to apply the clearcoat. I'll know better next time. Otherwise, good product with the brushes ,etc.

Absolute crap! Not even close to matching my paint even though I have them my paint code. Of course, I couldn't try it until yesterday because of the winter and the return window has closed so now I have a few brushes to show for. Went to the dealer today and got the correct touch-up paint for $20 and matches perfect.

doesn't work with or without primer beforehand, wipes away quick and easier than dry erase marker after being on vehicle for days. simple car wash was when I noticed how easily it washed away. Joke of a product, stay away. 1 star for the applicators I overpaid for.

Comes with alot of brushes and the paint did the trick. Not giving it the full 5 start bc it is not a beginner friendly product. Take your time and you'll be ok. Make sure to test the paint on a piece of paper with each brush to make sure you are comfortable with the application method

Really impressed with the color match and the detail brushes that are included. They help make for a better paint repair. Just bought some more from their website. Hope I have as much luck with this purchase.
