For those of us who thru luck, timing and handling have received the representative product, and have shared this to the rave of other chocolate lovers, sharing this good experience is important (those who have nothing good to say about the product, despite anyone knows it's in the poor or available handling after leaving them, the makers of the chocolate itself). There is no special way, other than the dry ice which should be made an option, which means an increase in price for shipping while potentially reducing value of product itself. I ordered Au lait, dark chocolate, champagne and white, the latter two a subsequent order of satisfaction, that arrives soon before the warm weather begins regularly, after which I won't be mail ordering without special handling. Also, due to higher quality of product, these are not drug store variety that can sit for a year, they are rotated out to maintain the higher standard accorded the crafting and perception of it. These chocolates featured as special gifting on K-drama STRONG GIRL BON SOO and had to try them, everyone here who joined us enjoyed them, did so in silence then the effusive raves began. The most common of which was, "if you love the inside of well crafted truffles, this is for you." On another note, I'd be interested to know if anyone has paired with wines, coffees or teas?

Hello, I recently ordered four of these boxes of chocolate (one for my sister and myself, and the two others are gifts for others). I must say that even though the powder of the chocolates has melted and stuck on the top of the plastic lid, the quality of the chocolates does not change. The chocolate still are very delicious, and I definitely would purchase again from this seller. I even had friends try them, and they do agree that the chocolates are absolutely delicious. I have purchased these from SoCal, therefore the expedited shipping from this seller should most likely provide no problem for the chocolates in my experience. I would also like to add and conclude that they include two surprise pieces of Japanese treats and that they are also very tasty as well. 10/10 recommend and I would buy again!

Granted, it's coming from Japan. Somewhere along the way it got too hot and melted. The white tasted like wax. The chocolate was too gooey to even pick up. I had some at a friend's house and was shuddering at the cost but....it was so darned good! I ponied up the money and said, "I deserve good chocolate". I had been looking forward to getting my very own premiere chocolate. NOOOO, the package was a disaster. Don't know if I will order again but I live in northern Wisconsin, it certainly didn't get too warm on this end.

A co-workers brought us back some of this chocolate when he visited Japan. It is the most wonderful chocolate I have tasted in some time. So smooth and tasty. The packaging was great and there was a cool-pack between the three boxes of chocolate that I ordered that was still cold upon arrival. There was no melting except in my mouth. I'm hooked now. Would recommend your chocolate to friends and co-workers. Wonderful chocolate.

Having lived down the street from Royce in Manhattan, I soooooooo miss my favorite chocolates now living in the mid-atlantic. I happily ordered a box of these as a special treat for us upon discovering they are sold here. Unfortunately, it was nothing like what I remembered, and all the excitement fell flat. I later learned to order directly from their website for the closest thing to what you'd get fresh from the store. When you order from the store, you'll get it in dry ice packaging, and then you must immediately refrigerate. This box of chocolates were not even worth this money, as they were hard (not the same consistency as the fresh ones from the store) and the taste was off. I don't recommend buying these famous chocolates from here.

Best chocolates ever. Had them in Japan years ago and am glad they’re available quick now through Amazon.

I loved this! It was delivered with cooling packets so it wasn't delivered melted like some has complained about. I guess it depends when we ordered it or where we live since I don't live in a city with warm weather. I got this for my boyfriend for Valentines Day, and he thought it was super rich and creamy and his house mate who doesn't like chocolate, loved it!

Expires 11 days after receiving item. Pretty crazy for something marked up more than twice as much as what it costs in Asia. Only came with one ice back in bag, it was melted. Luckily it is winter and the chocolate is still perfect.
