Prettycitylondon: The Colouring Book (1) (Pretty City Colouring)

This is a nice coloring book. There are a lot of "filler" pages in here, table-scapes, tea cups, lots of bikes, I'd say only about 60% of the pages are actual London buildings/scenes like the cover shows. The grey lines aren't my favorite. But I will say there is lots of variety in coloring spaces, like teeny tiny areas and huge building sides to color, so that's nice. The binding cracked apart the first time I opened it, but the paper is good quality, they just needed better glue.

So far I have found NOTHING TO DISLIKE. I actually purchased this as a gift, but just wanted to color a picture so badly, that I dove right in. Now I will have to purchase another one for my friend.

The copy of the photographs in this book are beautifully done and so so very easy to colour. As a Londoner, born and bred, with a good knowledge of London, as my Husband was a Licensed London Taxi Driver,from 1963 until his passing in January 2015, he took me to the majority of the unusual scenes shown. They are all unusual and have something interesting about them. I bought the book from Amazon at the beginning of "LOCKDOWN" and thoroughly enjoyed completing the book. The illustrations are repetitive, depth within drawings is unclear, there are several inconsistencies with lines not joining where they should. I chose to go over with black ink over all drawings to join up the lines that needed joining and cancel out those that shouldn't be there, looking up the original photos on the internet. The absolute lack of definition in the trees, bushes and flowers is irritating. On top of that there is nothing personal written about these places, their personal significance or public interest. You get a two line bland description which leaves you with distinct feeling of being advertised to. Wasted my money on this one and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Bought this as a leaving gift for a colleague who will be returning to New Zealand after living in London for 5 years. Thought it would be a lovely way for her to remember London.Love this book as it is not touristy. It has pictures of lovely places all over London without be cliche and cringe.
