Extremely helpful for back issues...highly recommended!
The Mobility Peanut is a life saver.I'm a professional musician, and I've been dealing with back issues for my entire career.Bodywork (acupuncture, massage, chiropractic adjustment, etc) is indispensable, and helps me to be able to perform at my best...but for daily maintenance, I rely on things I can do myself...and the Mobility Peanut is one of the most helpful products out there for back issues. The Mobility Peanut breaks down muscle adhesions (i.e., knots), it greatly reduces back pain, and it increases mobility and flexibility.I roll on the Mobility Peanut a couple times a day at home, and it's incredible how much it loosens my back up.When I'm on the road, I pack the Mobility Peanut (takes up very little space), and use it in my hotel rooms.I use it every day, and it's made a huge difference in the quality of my life. (Yes, it's that good). Before buying the Mobility Peanut, I'd tried using two tennis balls taped together, and had poor results with that. The Mobility Peanut, on the other hand, is amazing. It has just the right amount of pressure. It works great on any type of floor or carpet, it's easy to clean, and it's solid. And it looks great...unlike the eyesore of two fluorescent green tennis balls taped together. If you're dealing with back issues...just get it...you'll be glad you did.I can't recommend the Mobility Peanut highly enough.

These big black balls work wonders!
To be honest, I was a bit skeptical about this. However, I've been having issues with my back for a few years now. I know part of it was a lack of proper stretching. I'm almost 40 now (still can't believe it, hehe) and things ain't all like they used to be. I've been researching mobility training and I've watched a lot of videos on what to do and how to do it. This "peanut" was referenced in a few of the videos. The rest of the information seemed legit and no non-sense so I decided to try this. I must say I instantly felt better. I'm not even exaggerating. It's basically a personal deep tissue massager without the expensive price tag of a pro massage. As one other reviewer mentioned, this simple device is absolutely a life changer. I'm glad I heard about it. I just assumed the back issues were something I'd just have to live with as I got older. I've also used it on my neck and shoulders with similar results, although not as much stress in those areas as in my lower back. I would definitely recommend this lil device as part of any serious mobility training.

As good as a professional massage
Very easy to use by myself using body weight. Works great on the floor or up against a wall. I've never been able to deeply massage the muscles in my back around my spine and shoulder blades until using this peanut (it's comparable to having a deep tissue massage if you lay on it on the floor and use it like a tiny foam roller under your back). It also works perfectly used against the wall to get much deeper in the pectoral area than a foam roller can - although if you do this in front of others, and all they can see is you rubbing against the wall making relaxed sounds, be prepared for a possibly humorous situation. Great quality, looks like it will last forever unless I accidentally drive over it with a vehicle or saw it in half :) I met Mr. Isley, Mobilitas's head of customer service, at a seminar recently and if I had had any questions or problems with the product I would have felt very comfortable and welcome contacting him. Good, but with somewhat excessive friction
I've tried it for three days. It does seem to work better than both a foam roller and a pair of tennis balls taped together. However, it has already ripped a shirt I was wearing one day and it seems to have irritated my skin a bit (it feels somewhat burnt) by now, unlike the previous options. So my impression is that the material might cause excessive friction.

Useful to have for pain relief
The Mobilitas peanut is comfortable to use as advertised. It feels good to use it, but I'm not sure it actually releases any knots per se. I had to go to a chiropractor and physical therapist for actual myofascial release using e-stim and trigger point therapy respectively. I don't think you can go wrong with it. It's still a useful tool to have in the box for pain relief.

Save your money and use the two tennis ball in ...
Save your money and use the two tennis ball in a sock for the same affect or soft foam roller

Awful acetone smell
It arrived with a very strong chemical smell. It has been in a spare room for 8 days now and I got a headache just walking into the run earlier. So I haven't been able to use yet, if ever and I threw the box out because I just assumed it would air out in a few hours like Ive had happen before with other brands of similar products. But nope.I even scrubbed it in detergent and rinsed it. 3 times. The peanut was to help chronic headaches due to neck pain. This was the opposite of the desired effect.Don't buy this peanut. It ruined me.

Great relief from grumpy trigger points of today's modern Still-Stiff-n-Stressed lifestyle! :D
Perhaps one of the best massage tools I've ever owned! Works so deep and precise! Particularly great for the lower & upper back trigger points, neck, & soles of the feet! For legs, I recommend getting the rolling pin stick tools. Combine this with a heavy duty foam roller for your gluts, thighs, arms, larger sections of your back. This one is great for muscles around the spine too, don't apply pressure directly onto bones though, just around them and gracefully restore tight toxin-filled stone muscles and soft tissue to their optimal state. Slow deep breathing before and during and throughout your day will also help with healing. One of the best is a 4 second inhale through the nose into the belly, then an 8 second exhale from the mouth - get lost in this breathing and your body and nervous system will be jelly and ready for the muscle work.
