An Enjoyable Read!!
Olivia and Devon were great characters with great chemistry together. Devon grew up rough, and was on his own on the streets by the age of 16. He learns to be a mechanic and expert driver. He was so sweet and caring with Olivia once they met. He seemed to know what was going on in her mind. Olivia was an art school drop out working as a junior graphic artist at the bottom rung in an advertising company that she hated. She was worried about Devon's business dealings at first, but discovers she could trust him, after all. This was a well-written, easy read. I enjoyed this book so much that I couldn't put it down until the end.Although this is a standalone book with a HEA, it seems that some characters from this book get their own stories in Books 2 and 3. I am very interested in reading the next books in this series.

An alpha male book that genuinely surprised me
If you ever need a billionaire, bad boy, alpha male romance to restore your faith in the genre then this is the book to do it.Devon is not your typical billionaire... In fact he's not a billionaire at all. He's just a small time hood, making ends meet by fixing cars and driving the getaway van. He's not a good guy. He's not a nice guy. He's rude. He's crude. He's got a troubled past. He likes his sex rough. But he not another example of toxic masculinity in romance. There's depth to him. More than I expected or gave him credit for.Olivia is your typical heroine. She's stuck in a dead end job. She lives in a rundown apartment. She's been forced to give up her dreams for the reality of life. She's relatable which most romance heroines are. But that isn't a bad thing. She's well rounded. She's got goals and interests separate from the hero, but you never doubt their connection. This book Passes the bechdel test. And Olivia's struggles seem real. Even better she isn't too stupid to live. This whole book surprised me. But in the best of ways. I read it straight through until 5am, because I didn't want to put it down. It was a glass of water after a long dry spell filled with dnf'd books, clunky prose, and cliched characters. This book had none of those.I plan on recommending this book far and wide and buying the next one when I can afford it.As it stands,Five stars.

Sexy fun!
When I see the word billionaire in the title, I tend to roll my eyes and skip past it. The cover of this one caught my attention though, and the words mechanic and thief in the synopsis piqued my interest. It's such a different scenario from the typical billionaire CEO in most of these stories.I got completely hooked when I started reading this. I loved the setup and the introduction to the characters. The way they interacted was sexy fun right from the beginning, and it remained that way through the entire story. Also, there were no misunderstandings! The author didn't rely on that typical romance novel tactic to create drama. The circumstances provided the drama, but the characters actually talked to each other about what was going on. How refreshing! I also liked both these characters throughout the entire book, and I liked that the author focused on them. Their connection remained strong and relevant, and the side characters didn't take away too much time from the romance. I prefer the couple to be front and center, and they were. They were also very hot together. This author sure knows how to write sexy scenes! I just wish that this was available as an audiobook too.

Devon
Devon had a rough life, was mixed up with some bad people. Met Olivia in his apartment building had a one night stand and then got sent to jail for two years. Both were thinking about each other during this time. Finally got together and Devon and Olivia shared their pasts. I was unable to grasp the ending of this book. HEA? HFN? It left me confused and wondering.

Sweet
This book was really sweet. It wasn't the best or the worst that I've ever read, but it was really sweet.A good girl and a not-so-legit guy have a one night stand. They don't forget each other and get reacquainted with each other. But ..... someone else hasn't forgotten him either and will stop at nothing to prevent him from being legit. They had a good connection and really funny supporting characters.

They worked well together
The main characters worked well together. I liked Olivia, though there were a few times I rolled my eyes at the reminder of her failed art school attempt that was thrown in my face almost every time her POV came up. Devon was a catch and showed common sense and smarts in dealing with his issues. The slimey characters were not as developed, though it was enough to make me dislike them and their manipulations. I would have liked more details in some areas of the story, like Olivia's relationship with her mom.The story is written in the pov of Olivia and Devon. The story is easy to read and rally behind the main characters. While the ending was okay, I felt something was missing during Devon's master plan. The reveal left holes and I did not buy the results.Otherwise, this was a quick and entertaining read. I want to see what happens to Max next.

An amazing read I absolutely loved
An amazing read I absolutely loved! Devon and Olivia have terrific chemistry and the writer knows how to create a character. The story flowed beautifully and I never found myself bored or worse, rolling my eyes. Definitely on my list of series that I’ll be reading once I weed through my lengthy TBR list. The only reason for the lack of a five-star rating was the missing condom. Once again, I have to nail a fellow writer for refusing to use one. She doesn’t know this guy, is willing to hide him in her apartment so he can stay away from the police, and just like that, not only is she sleeping with him, but allowing him inside her body without protection strictly on his word? It’s not only pregnancy condoms protect against folks. If you write modern day tales, they are essential. Hiding behind the reasoning that it’s fiction is not going to fly. I may be on a moral soapbox no one cares about, and that’s fine, but what I do are the young readership that may pick up our books and read them and may think it’s okay not to use them when sleeping with someone. Set the example, and write them in.

Good story and likeable characters
For such a short story, it sure packed a good plot. This was a very credible love story between two people whose chemistry was so palpable!I liked Devon so much. His brand of alpha was right up my alley. And Olivia, she was in a way... very millennial?! I could completely identify with her struggles both professional and personal, but especially professional. That feeling of general dissatisfaction, going through the “grown up” motions, trying to find the courage to take charge and risk a change that could very well upset your future prospects or could pay off.. it’s all very 50/50.As I said, this book felt very identifiable, and not just because of the heroine. The hero and his “take charge”, “badass” attitude was very authentic, nothing over the top, everything was handled realistically, and I guess that’s one of the reasons why I was sold on this story.Totally going read the next ones in the series. It’s so refreshing when you find a new author and you know what they have to offer.. it’s just so satisfying

Amazing
I just got to say what an amazing writer Julie kriss is! I finished another book of hers and have been hoping there'll be a follow up and while looking I stubbled across this one.I've really gone off these billionaire books and to be honest I wouldn't even refer to this book the same as those because it wasn't like that at all.I absolutely loved it I loved the characters the story the sex, defiantly the sex. There wasn't any dilly dallying around it's straight to the point and I ended up reading it in a day or so.

Couldn’t even finish it, I thought it was terrible
Now I’m not the type of person who quits reading a book without finishing it, but this book to me was awful. I’ve read lots of different genres of book including ‘steamy’ ones but this was so unrealistic it was painful. I get the meeting of the two characters but the way their relationship progressed was forced and very amateurish and unfeasible.I also hate books that over describe things i.e ‘she pushed her hair, damp from the wall from the car, off her face and looked round’ we know it’s raining you told us that, we know she is walking from the car because you also told us that!Nope, glad it was free one on prime won’t be reading another from the author. Sorry

I loved this book
I don't usually read Billionaire books after a slew of them hit Amazon in the wake of FSOG. I downloaded this because it was a freebie and started to read it yesterday morning. That I've finished it this morning should tell you it's a good read. Julie Kriss didn't waste time on too much backstory, just enough to fill you in on what you need to know. Hot characters, hot sex, and just enough conflict to keep you reading. Looking forward to the next one in the series.
