Pool Mate5724-4 Sandstone Round Winter Pool Cover, 24-ft. Pool

I bought this is October of 2022. We had a wind storm in February of 2023 and the cover tore in the wind. I emailed the company's warranty department and they said that they would replace it. They clarified that I would need pay for shipping and I would need to add either cover clips or wrap to ensure this does not happen again and even sent me links to both parts on amazon. I am purchasing the wrap to protect it better. I was initially pretty upset about the issue, but am completely satisfied with how they are handling the issue's resolution, or will be once the new cover arrives.

So far, this cover went on evenly, and tge pool water that got on top, beaded up, unlike the other covers. It does seem slightly thicker and a bit more durable.Winter hasn't hit yet, so time will tell if this is our new favorite cover.We have had the pool for over a decade and find8ng a winter cover that lasts more than 2 years is our mission.The price was equal to what our pool store has sold us in the past, but the quality has been disappointing and we spend too much every other year replacing the covers and the opening hasn't been great either in the past 9 years.We are hoping this cover can be our new favorite.So far, I like what I see.It fit perfectly, and I like the color, although color is no importance to me.

A good color other than blue and forest green. Grommets seem chincy but we use clips rather than the wire insert fastener as we found with heavy snowfall it can adversely impact the sides. Just installed it so we’ll see how it holds up. It’s a decent heavier cover and looks good.

It was a great product.Plenty of room putting on pool

The reviews were favorable so I thought it would work. Then about mid winter I noticed water collecting on top even with no rain. The pool’s water level kept getting lower, and I thought my pool liner had a leak. (This summer proved no leak in liner; the water level stayed high all season.). By the time I removed the cover, my pool water level had dropped by a couple of feet at least. I did use a big pool pillow, but it still removed water as some of the cover made contact with the water. The water level dropping put a strain on the cover, causing tears in various spots. Of course my water bill was higher due to having to add so much water to the pool before opening it. I will say that the cover kept dirty water out of the pool. The little bit of remaining pool water was clean. But I would not recommend this cover.

From the description (Extra Heavy-Duty), I expected it to be thicker. There are also alot of disclaimers and exclusions when you actually get a copy of the warranty. I guess I'll be happy if I can get two seasons out of it. At least it was shipped quickly.

The media could not be loaded. All I can say is I am tickled to pink with this pool cover. In 20yrs Of having this pool and many pool covers, this is by far my favorite one. It's not as flimsy as ones, I've paid way more far. The gourmets are placed good. Every time I bought a 21 around pool cover, it would go over the railing maybe 8 inches for the overhang. This is a 21', and gives you 4ft more. You can see in the pictures how it hangs over the pool rail. This is going to help with wind not getting under and blowing it off.I wish I was a personal shopper for this so I could get another one just for this honest review.I attached a video trying to show you that I literally put this pool cover on by myself. By laying the pool, cover on the ground with the black side facing up. Sticking my hand underneath the cover and clamping it to the edge of the pool. Clamping halfway around too where I could pull the cover over the water with the black facing down as it should and the blue on top. Then after the cover is on drain below the skimmer.

The quality is better than I had expected. I am always fearful buying sight unseen. Fingers crossed that it holds up like it should. Only time will tell.

Covers my pool very well and durable. I will know more in the spring if it make it through the winter.

Well I had this cover before so there was no regrets buying another one. But this time around one of the eyelets for the cable was distorted and bent but a pair of needle nose pliers and it was straightened out…. But make sure if this is the way you go for winter get a pool pillow!!!

Works great but probably won’t last long. Very thin tarp.

Tarpuline is so thin certainly not heavy duty. Can’t believe the advert is so misleading. The winch is useless, so fragile it fell apart on first use.
