Increased distance between the hour and minute hands on the shaft to prevent binding. It can power up to 17-1/2" hands!! Case Size: 2-1/4"W x 2-3/4"H x 1" Deep. The shaft diameter is 7/16". Requires 1 'C' Cell battery, not included. Includes one pair of hour and minute hands (upon request only), and all mounting hardware (sweep sold separately). A large sweep second hand is not recommended. If you want extra large hands for this movement they are sold separately in our store and range from 7" to 17-1/2". ***For hands: Complete the payment first, then go into your order history and send a message to the seller asking for a product customization, in that message specify the part number for hands that you want from those Pictured in the upper left of this listing. For example H-28b would specify the 4 inch spade hands. If you do not specify the hand style, we will not ship them with your order.***

Saved me big time and did the job perfectly!
We purchased a beautiful, 38" round wall clock from a consignment store for cheap because the mechanism's gears were worn to the point the huge, 14" long minute hand would slip and slide as it neared the bottom of the hour. I disassembled it, found the mechanism's manufacturer (Takane) and found and purchased this one. It fit perfectly, held the clock's huge hands just fine, and has worked like a charm for the past two months. Great value, great piece.

Doing a good job with 17” hands
So far so good. My homemade clock has 17” hands and this is working well. Seems to keep the time right on after about a week, so I think it is going to be good. This takes a C battery, which I like. I previously bought one that used a AA battery and it could not handle the weight and leverage of the minute hand so I had to return it.

Exact replacement for wall clock
Once you correctly identify the movement needed, it's a simple matter of swapping it out. Works like the original.

Excellent choice for a large Patio Clock movement
I particularly like the extra spacing between the hour and minute hands. On big clocks with longer hands, they tend to get tangled together out near their ends. This definitely helps to eliminate that problem.Also like the idea of it being powered by a single "C" battery.

It beeps on the hour several times. Very annoying. No way we can see to disable that.
